What should have been the nadir of this torrent (the ER songs) are a revelation : they sound great and they're totally enjoyable.
Methinks Jagger thought that in their raw form they sounded too much like SG songs so he "embellished" them with extra studio work...

Ouch!

dcba I agree, they sound fresh and in no need of more studio doctoring.Or do you think maybe [in my case] maybe we have not listened to the original CD's in a while and so underestimate them by thinking they are not as good as the 'BIG 4' BB -LIB -EOMS - SF. and so dismiss them when it comes to deciding which CD to take from the rack to play. I listened to ER today all the way through and enjoyed it again!- Perhaps hearing the outtakes has enhanced our perception of the albums they come from.

I wonder what the idea of Bkeyes was to offer for download the Undercover-version, that other posters call the Extended cheeky mix. Or is it more special than we think to know?

Waow, the Where The Boys Are Go is simply stunning!
Played it loud this morning with my coffee, a big kick-ass before to go to work!

Its funny when the stones started playing ER last year I thought it sounded a little off. Could never really figure it out. The version off of Vol 3 reminds me a lot of the recent live version they played last year.

Good question, I asked after he posted the link but he didn't reply, BKeyes is definitely a man of many mysteries! Good ones so far ;-)

I don't know bkeys - but I sure like his style,I have been watching the posts closely. If I am to go with my gut feeling I think Bkeys has a very important part to play on this board in the coming months - I say give him freedom and watch this space, and please if you are quoting him please at least give his correct name bkeys. bkeys don't let me down. Tonstone.- Great pick up and post gotablouse.

A nice way to start the day, thanks bkeys!

This is actually the track known as "If I don't Have You" from the "High Temperature" boot, I didn't remember it as being as good though. Must have been thinking of the second slightly longer version which is lo-fi, some details here [dbboots.com] . I always thought it was an early "One Hit" (to the nobody) but since they credit the song to "Isaacs" I went looking and found:

Guess they were lucky not to get hit by a lawsuit like Mick was for "Just Another Night"...

In case you're taking requests I'll put in another vote for "All About You" with Mick's backing vocals ;-)

I Can't See Nobody and If I Don't Have You are close, but different.

But it's very likely that I Can't See Nobody emerged from jamming If I Don't Have You.

This track was familiar to me and I thought at "I Want Nobody Else" from "High Temperature" boot too.
I wanted to check but you did it before me!
"High Temperature" contains quite a few nice tracks were Jagger and Richards sing together. The tension between the both is not that obvious when you listen to those.
A Deluxe edition of Dirty Work will probably never exist but would be way more consisten than the SF one!
Thanks you Bkeys for your generosity. Your interventions are brief but solid!

Personnaly, this is the early version of "Miss You" that intrigues me.
