Has laughing Sam remastered Edinburgh ?? - Then we can compare. I have the Edinburgh 1st generation,and all recordings would have originated from my source, except by the time the bootleggers got hold of them who know's what generation they put out. I have yet to hear a better source than my tapes. so would love to see if anyone can make it sound better. In the meantime Chris posted on Marko's behalf and was not sure if Marko had remastered. I have downloaded a few of Marko's 1981 remasters and must say they were a great improvement on the original soundboard releases and a joy to listen to.I look forward to more.Thanks Chris & Marko for the work you do.Greg respect your comments whilst not familiar with Laughing sams remasters it would be unfair of me to comment.Can you post up one if LS's remasters? Thanks.

Rattlesnake version was "remastered" when i still had my philips stand alone burner,,,and quality difference is big.

Simply ask LaughinSam. Some of his works are here, on IORR.
I gave his work as an marvelous, the best (to me ) example I've ever heard.
Generally. Have no idea if he put his hand on Flowers of Scotland but I'm 300% sure that if he did, you/me and everybody would be stoned. I bet, 1000% sure! :-)

me and laughinsam did some work together,,i think you didn´t know that..i think they were Poland-98,,,Anaheim-99 and Paris-1970 can´t remember more.
The difference is that i us eonly analog,,,no computers,excpet for speed correction
And i still have MANY shows taken directly from auditape,,,even they are "remastered" i wasn´t then good as i am now,,it takes years to learn how to use 20 channels?
Let me know if you can handle that.

Oh shit i didn´t rememeber we did that Pittsburgh-72 as well,,it is a must have,,,finally listenable,i might upload that one when the time comes.
Theres nothing to envy really,,,,this is also a dammit thing in my life,,,can´t live without it,,,

You know guys it CRAZY 20 years ago,,,i traded hundreds of tapes per MONTH..then in 1998 or 1999 i got my first standalone burner..i started transfering tapes onto cdr´s....and oh boy did they cost lot of money back them,,,i believe it was 120 finish marks then,,thats about 20 euros a 10 cd´s....now i order them from Germany,probaply only good thing EU has.

After trading tapes slowed down and stopped,,,then it was hundreds of cdr´s for many years,,,i would say 2000-2005

Problem is that it wasn´t just trading,but people started to send their masters for me,,,from guys i never heard of,,to name few shows,,,San Francisco-75,Toronto-89,Gothenburg-1990,,then there was one from 1972 can´t remember now which one that was i know i got more,,but my memory is fading,,it was so wild and crazy that you had to be there,,but i did get good friends along the road..


and even i´m "young" i bought my first bootleg in 1986 or so,,,2 in fact during the same year and they were "Discover new york" and "Hear the whistle blowin",,what a way to start listening bootlegs,,,i started trading in 1990.
I still have some of those tapes on cdr i traded then...

I remember Marko encouraging me to remaster his recordings. He was the first guy on IORR to start suggesting which shows to work on and he turned me on to some good ones. Still, if you're going to hold any of my remasters up to scrutiny I prefer it's 2012 or later. The equipment, software and knowledge I had back in 2011 was lacking, although that Pittsburg show was good.

Actually Sam....theres at least one what you might try to get better,problem is that its from wolfgangs vaults,so it can´t be shared here.The show is Tampa-1994,another one might be Philly-1999 the earmonitor source.I might have few more,,,which needs different work..
