So rare that no one's heard of them, hehe...well "My Girl" was mentioned by silkcut1978_ ;-)

These are lists from an auction of Ronnie collectables, see [www.iorr.org]

Lot 77 – RONNIE WOOD HANDWRITTEN LIST 1985 : [www.the-saleroom.com]

Lot 118 – RONNIE WOOD SONG LIST WITH 1994 : [www.the-saleroom.com]

Note that "Better Get Used To It" had also appeared on a list found by Matt Lee in LA

Given the wealth of VL outtakes available "Better Get Used to I" ust be an (instrumental) known under a different name ?

What strikes me is that if these are indeed notes written by Ronnie he seems to be a lot more involved in the production/mixing than I thought, at least for VL. I wonder if I didn't read that Mick had somewhow lost interest in the project (due to the direction chosen by Don Was and ok'd by Keith and I suppose Charlie and Ronnie) and that he wasn't (much) in LA for the mixing, hence possibly Ronnie's involvement.

Holetown Prison was a working title for Suck On The Jugular.

Ah yes, that rings a bell, thanks and it fits Ronnie's description : "Groove"

I'm still curious about "Better Get Used To It", it's odd that with the wealth of VL outtakes available it wouldn't have escaped (LA Track only?). Or could it be an alternate title for "You Got It Made" based on Ronnie's notes : "(What It Is) (You Got It Made) (Shallow Grave)" ?

THE fluff piece by Jann Wenner in 1995's interview w/Mick did have Mick allude to his opinion that the direction VL took was not to his liking. Mick is scrupulously careful when being interviewed not to flame anyone or anything. He did say he thought sales of VL were affected by the album's final product.

I can't imagine how any outtakes from this album would sound interesting. Just because a CD has 74 capable minutes of data doesn't mean they need to be filled up.

I would love to read opinions on whether there are any "new" outtakes on the Erich Beer label cds uploaded recently to stonesvault.

Thanks!

Well, yes, since the final product would be the actual album that would sell or not, I suppose the sales of Voodoo Lounge would be affected by the album that Voodoo Lounge is. Voodoo Lounge doesn't exist any other way.

Brilliant, Mick. Brilliant.

Fantastic upload!

Neighbours (with guide vocals) and the last three tracks (more from the Unknown Dreams-sessions) weren't among the BKeys-samples.
I'm sure BKeys and BK are totally different uploaders!

The 9:40 minutes of "Keep It Cool" are stunning!

And imo track #12 is an improvisation that segues into "Oh What A Feeling".
Time to make a definitive version of VGP-377 with these two LVFarm cuts!

Mjk5510, the Dime uploader, kindly agreed to have his torrent shared here too so here goes : [mega.co.nz] and I'll add it to the first post with links and info.

Not the same BK ? Huh...nice coincidence then, not that it really matters, the more "sharers" the better ! Great liner notes too, not something you get with your everyday boot, it seems we owe that to one "N" ;-)

Downloaded from your link and it's now on my desktop. However, it won't allow it to be dragged into my itunes or to be played in general. Any help would be appreciated.

If the file is FLAC (.flac), then you must use a third-party audio player/converter to open it. I would recommend Audacity. It's free and a nice, simple, user-friendly user interface and options. From there, you can Export it as a number of files, including WAVE, AAC, MP3 (you need to download an add on for this), etc.
