if you right-click on the file, go don to Properties then look at Details you can see what type of file it is.

I use VLC to play most files. It plays anything, even DVD VOB files. [www.videolan.org]

Didn't he say already they are 2ch extensi files?

From what i read online they are used for SACD and most likely you need a plugin to do what you want with them. Such as converting.

I think you can use Foobar with a plugin.
