St. Louis and Houston 2nd night 1981 SBDs on EVSD
Posted by: henrik87 ()

Hello,

I just read on [wwr6.ucom.ne.jp] that EVSD released St. Louis and Houston 2nd night 1981 as SBDs.

Does anyone already have or ordered these recordings and could tell if these are for real?

I'm guessing the owners of those 1981 VG-ish mono soundboards are selling their remaining tapes now,
as they think it's only a matter of time before all shows turns up on Wolfgangs Vault is far superior quality. Makes sense to me
But no....I was not aware of them EVSD releases

And it has to be said that they are no bootleg sellers but just fans and collectors who check if a boot is legit and an upgrade to some source previously available.

BTW: Anyone here from Japan who already got the CDs?

Great, I'll be eagerly awaiting a means of downloading...or help share costs since someone's probably buying a copy and uploading it.

BTW , just started listening to it and UMT is cut, only the last minute is available. Otherwise sounds like a standard sb, no real aud. noise. Sounds like an energetic WHIP so far

HI DrPete,

thanks for the information. The gaps of the 1981 get smaller and smaller step by step. Now there is just the secret gig Is there maybe a way you can convert the CDs to FLAC and upload them?

I think you would make all people here very happy!!!spinning smiley sticking its tongue out hot smiley

Many many thanks in advance!

So the concert starts in the middle of UMT. Interesting. Wonder if that's just when they realized the tapes weren't rolling yet!

Sorry , but am very computer illiterate. Have never done an upload and not sure how. Is a very fun and ragged show, just the way I like my Stones

Do you know how to convert the music on the discs to audio files on your computer?
If you can do that, here's a very simple step by step guide to uploading them to 'wetransfer'..... [www.iorr.org] ......(you don't have to register or anything like that to upload.

Dr Pete if there is a way that you might get the conversion and upload process work because of the great guide by EddieByword it would be really great.

Normally you can just drag and drop them into the software and clip file -> save as.

But as I am not a 7zip user I do not know how it exactly works there. Does anyone know?

You don't really need to bother about creating zip files; if bandwith is no issue for you, you can upload the flac or wav files you got after ripping the cd's, without bothering about zip files.
(I for one wouldn't mind having to download them that way and would be more than happy to convert them to zip files and upload again to Wetransfer, Mega and the Vault for you).

Maybe you can refresh my memory...I seem to remember them bringing saxophonist David Sandborn, a St. Louisan, up for 1 song (although can't remember which).

I don't think there were many special guests on that tour; could be a nice rarity!

No special guests announced. Seems to been a standard 81 show

OK.
Find the folder on your HD with the music in it that you want to upload.
Right click on the folder (ie. St.Louis '81). A menu should open up. The words 7zip should be on that menu.
Put the cursor on the 7zip bar (or name/writing) Another small menu should open up alongside the first.
Look for the words 'Add To St. Louis '81 ZIP'
Left Click on that and the 7zip program will automatically make a copy of St. Louis '81, compress it into a zip file. It will take a few minutes but when it's finished you'll have your original folder intact plus another one. You won't miss the new one, it'll look different to your usual brown folders.
I use tugzip and get a zipfile that looks like a little brown box. Winzip looks like a little pile of books. I don't know what a 7zip zipfile looks like but as I say you'll know which one it is straight away because it'll look different. Upload the new zipfile to 'wetransfer'.

Hi, this is a webmaster of Hot Stuff [wwr6.ucom.ne.jp].
Thank you for your visit to my site.
Hot Stuff is managed by myself only and I'm just a fan, not a bootleg seller.

Regarding "LIVE IN HOUSTON ASTRODOME 1981 OCTOBER 29", the credit says all songs are taken from Oct.29.
However, from "A Train" to "Tumbling Dice" are not from 29th but previously well known 28th, upgraded though.
After "All Down The Line" are from 29th, brandnew soundboard.
