One question though: is CD 1 really Bern 26-9 second show, because there's quite some confusion about the 3 Bern shows from the 73 tour (25 and 26 Sept (2))?

Apparently yes... CD1 is taken from a Dime torrent and the poster (who attended the show) confirmed the date.

Hurrah DAC/VGP DID speed-correct this last Bern tape : the raw torrent was quite off/fast. It's so nice to be able to enjoy this nice show in its full glory

Btw Godfather [www.bootlegpedia.com] did nothing at all to bring the music to the correct pitch... Lazy bootleggers! ><

I just checked the size of the files and they do look a bit small to me... Take YCAGWYW from Bern : it's 26,8 Mb which is pretty small for a 10:23 song.

If I dig out the raw torrent the boot is taken from, and the file is 72,2 Mb!
So either DAC messed up somewhere or sth happened during the Silver ----> FLAC transfer.

Opinions?

This copy coming from silvers, but i have a problem with the cd, and a friend of my send a good copy with wetransfer

Yup HJ, if this DAC has a smaller size than the rotten sounding "Trash-05" disc, sth might be wrong.

Have no time to listen to this before the weekend; did a short frequency check with Audacity.
Disc one has absolutely nothing above 8kHz!?!

Still would like to know more about this boot!
Is the poor result of the frequency analysis really from the DAC bootleg?
Or did someone make a mistake when ripping the cd to Flac??

Is there a different source available for this bootleg?

Thanks for the WT upload. Downloads really quickly.

For anyone wondering about the small file sizes, here's the deal: 1) DAC has made the left and right channels identical on both CDs. That makes files considerably smaller when they are compressed (FLAC, etc.). 2) For the Bern show, as already noted, DAC chopped off the high frequencies above ~7kHz. That means less data and a smaller file size.

Incidentally DAC used the "Lost Bern Show" source (incorrectly dated as 9/25/73) for Brown Sugar up until 1:44 then it switches to the torrent source. I agree with that choice, and their speed correction, but don't like the 7kHz cutoff.
