Alas the tape is rather muddy and boomy as it is and it needs serious amount of EQ. And there's a lot of intrusive audience comments.

BUT the show rocks! >< HP II is easily the best of the 3 UK shows (imo).

Another great show for the Stones' second outing at Hyde Park and last show of the tour as per Mick's comment at the end (he mentioned the last concert of the "leg" in an interview last week). Keith changed the first chord of Start Me Up again, with a bit of a smirk on his face so it was probably intended as a joke...A very powerful version of "Street Fighting Man" and "Emotional Rescue" sounded really good for its premiere in Europe and so did "Ruby Tuesday" that hadn't been played on the tour yet. Recorded by WEBVAN - on the rail in the stage/catwalk angle T3 side, a marvelous spot and I think it sounds a lot better than my recording of the first show. There is some crowd noise though as one would expect right in the front of a crowd of 65,000 people!

Alors !

Hehe...and all week it was "torture" deciding to go back or not but a cheap flight popped up on BA on Friday morning (cheaper than the regular Eurostar rate...) and with friends going in T3 that sealed the deal! What a day...lifetime memories! T1 was nice on the 6th but that felt more "earned" ;-)

I had a go at remastering it:

yes the audience was just a bit too loud to get a good sound, but its much clearer, albeit a tad harsh on the top-mids maybe.

more a mix for playing not too loud.

its all one long flac audio file with fade in/out (1.4gb)

i might have another go at it tomorrow.
