In Canada, Take It So Hard was in heavy rotation on MuchMusic (MTV) the VJ's talked a lot about how a lot of fans were surprised at how good these songs were. One VJ suggested that some fans thought that Mick Jagger was the driving creative force in the band.
In my opinion, Mick just got in his own way. Instead of just letting the songs organically evolve, he massaged them into slickly produced tracks.
On Jagger's best solo outing, Wandering Spirit, he just let the songs out. He didn't worry if the sounded like "Stones Songs" That's why WS is still in my playlist rotation, almost 30 years later...

Hi,
I taped Keith Richard's Saturday Night Live performance in 1988 (Okober, 8th) with a VHS Recorder, but can't do a new and better tape transfer, because my recorder reached the end of his working life time... The old transfer I made is compressed, the audio with only 54 bits, no joy to listen. On YT, only Struggle and no video of Take It So Hard is available at the moment and it's also with compressed audio.
So if anybody got a better video-tape-transfer, i would be delighted, if it can be shared here. If not, I'll try to borrow a VHS recorder and share it later.
