Has Anyone Compared

Has anyone compared the sound quality of the 2 following CD boots?

1. Rolling Stones Closer Than Close (Morph 019)
2. Rolling Stones Closer Than Close (Rattlesnake RS 037)

I would love to have the better one in flac if anyone has it.

Thanks in advance.

Hate to tell you but all Closer than Close CDs have problems.

I.e. some very special feature around 16kHz. It seems that almost all earlier uploads were lossy (I got my first one in flack from rocksoff tracker long time ago but it was, in fact, lossy). Rattlesnake has cut-off in spectrum @ 16 kHz - definitively mp3 sourced.

The one recently uploaded @ hungarcity [www.hungercity.org] return cdda quality, but still has funny feature. Check the remark of movchun in comments there.

I wonder if SM just "remaster" and mechanically add HF to the spectrum or did something else...

Thanks Ironbelly I seen the comments on Hungercity and this is why I was wondering how both the SM and RS labels compared.

I thought maybe the Rattlesnake may have been better.

Thanks for your info all the same.
