Re-POST by Request: Mick TAYLOR & Mayall's Bluesbreakers 07th June 1982 - Detroit (reworked)

Mick TAYLOR with the John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers
Detroit
June 7, 1982

Details coming from the great site of Nico Zentgraf : [www.nzentgraf.de]
7th June 1982 : Detroit, Michigan, Grand Circus
Line-up: MT (gtr)/John Mayall (voc, keyb, harm, gtr)/John McVie (bass)/Colin Allen (dr)

CD 1
01 - Band introduction
02 - An Eye For An Eye
03 - Oh, Pretty Woman
04 - All Night, All Day
05 - My Time After Awhile
06 - You Never Can Be Trusted
07 - Road Show

CD 2
01 - Rock It In The Pocket
02 - Lookin' For Willie
03 - I Should Know Better
04 - Checkin' Up On My Baby
05 - The Dark Side Of Midnight
06 - Room To Move
07 - Ridin' On To Santa Fé

The biggest problems here are
- the tape runs too much fast ! After comparison with the official 1982 CD, I decided too use a reduction of 5%
- After track n° 2 the sound is very high and saturated, to make him a little more confortable I use filters : –15% high on track 3 and for the others +15%bass and -15% high : the result is not great but not so agressive.
- On cd n°2 the first track was cut in 4 parts with gaps between them, I try to recreate the complete song but the gaps are still perceptible at 2’58, 3’30 & 4’20. (and they’re others little gaps in the song).
The 6th tracks was also cut in two parts, idem I recreate one song but the gap can be hear at 1’20s.
I cut the 2 minutes of crows and talking at the end of the show and I also improv the beginning/end of the CDs
Conclusion : a great show but not well recorded I try to make what I can with my poor capability but all with passion and patience.
I create an artwork always with the style I use for this era.

Norbert,
Just an aside question, what music editing software do you use?
