It's an interesting version with Waits howlin' like a wolf! It's not a very smooth version thanks to Waits being a bit late at times, but I guess that's a part of it, being unexpected, spontaneous and rough. It's an odd performance and that's why I could really dig it. I am not a Tom Waits fan -- my brother is. I have no CD's from the man, but I think this is one of the best duets the Stones have done (if not the best).
Of course, nothing beats the original version, which is so well done! I wish they could bring back that elegance of the original version. (Another Number 1 blues song? Anyone?)
