I restart to added some show to complete the great Stonesvault.
04 September 1973 - 2nd show – Cologne
For this show I got 4 boots :
- « Eau De Cologne » 2cdrs : 10 tracks + 16 tracks : containt 10 uncomplete sdb tracks + the complete audience 16 tracks
- « Cologne 2nd Show »1 cdr : 10 tracks : containt 10 uncomplete sdb tracks
- « Cologne Sporthalle – 2nd show » 2 cdrs : 13 tracks + 3 tracks : the complete audience 16 tracks
- « Tour 1973 » (wonderland Records WLR 2135) containt 10 uncomplete tracks (called « soundboard » )
First I compar the complete audience tracks : « Eau De Cologne » is better because the my « Cologne 2nd show » is compressed so I keep the first one , I just amplified a little the sound (+2,5db), I cut some microgaps between the tracks and a big noise at 6’53 in YCAGWYW.
Then for the « soundtrack» tracks, I found the better sound, ripping the video from the DVD of WLR 2135(in fact coming from the Idol Mind « Live In Cologne »). But I didn’t keep the beginning of « Brown Sugar » because it’s coming from an other show. I take the opportunity to improve a little the tape : as you know the song in the soundtracks are almost uncomplete, I make some correction :

01 - « Brown Sugar » at 31s I cut the gap
02 – « Gimme Shelter » at 0’43 but here is still perceptible, in 3’51 but I don’t touch to the 2’10 channel problem.
03 – « Happy » I cut the gap beetween the song at 3’12
04 – « Star Star » I don’t touch to the end
05 - « Doo Doo doo Doo Doo » is still cut at 1’24 but I put a fade in/out for the confort and I cut the microgaps before the next track
06 – « Midnight Rambler » I don’t touch to the default at 0’58. To the uncomplete end I choose to cut a seconde of music and make a discreet fade in/out : it souds real better and I shortened the final noise.
07 - band intro/ « Honky Tonk Women », to improv the brutal end I make a fade in/out beetween this track and the following.
08 – « Rip This Joint » is very short and coming from Mannheim
09 – « Jumping Jack Flash »
10 – « Street Fighting Men » is good but I compar with the OGWT from Frankfurt they’re identical : no doubt this version is coming from the 30 September Frankfurt 2nd show but I keep it because it’s on almost all version of the Cologne show.
11 - « Silver Train » appears also on « From The Vault – VGP 100 » but I compar and they’re different ! So the VGP is coming from the First show or from another unidentified show, I decided to keep it as bonus.
Conclusion when the songs was uncomplete they stay this way but the hearing is more confortable.

I doan remember Mick shouting about anything except for 9Sept73 final Wembley show when he came unglued at jobsworths (hired security) menacing and pushing attendees in the front whilst the latter were trying to dance. NEVER have I heard Mick that angry! It shows what a real professional he is, esp. when you listen to Montreal 72 with the bangers going off during the beginning of YCAGWYW and the bottle thrown from the crowd and hitting him a bullseye.

It also shows that whilst Mick has been call many many things, his main concern is the safety of the fans. God Bless 'im...
