[...] may I ask you for reposting your remaster of Enmore Theatre concert, Feb.18, 2003, Sydney?

[...] I have no idea about sound remastering nor even sound saturation, so I don't know how
difficult it is. I would love to hear a version with Jagger's voice more on a foreground, better
enhancement of interaction between the band and audience reaction and generally
the whole sound
more crispy. Feasible?

Best,
Greg

Hi Greg,

I'm not sure if this remaster has your intended result but I like it better than my previous remaster.
This time I have beeen much more conservative in the mixing process: mainly balancing the volume
levels and some slight eq'ing of the high-end. Perhaps in the balancing process Mick's vocals
have become a bit more prominent but basically it is the original source that you hear. The overall
volume has been less loud then the previous remaster.
I have no clue if this the same source that VGP used. Mine has been aquired in a (cd-r) trade back in
2003 (or 2004?). Anyway, a spectrum analisys of the cd-r shows that it is lossy, perhaps VGP used a
lossless version of this particular source, this I don't know (I don't have the VGP).

Spectrum analisys (after remastering)

Still my prefered file-sharing format remains FLAC. This because CD burning will then produce nice,
gap-less cd's.

Hope you enjoy!

All the best,
Joyce (aka RCG)

Hi Rubycat,

Oh... you're fast.
Thanks.
I'm just downloading.
It will last over 1 hour, then I'll write my impressions.

Well...

I converted 3 songs of your flac into wav and compared them with VGP342
which unfortunately I have in mp3.
VGP is less muffled, sounds better but still I cannot wait to listen what Laughingsam will do with it. It still has great potencial for remastering.
I love your artwork, Ruby.

Thanks,
Greg

Thanks for your review Greg, it is all cool with me. Do you think the VGP is from a different source?
I'm sure I will check-out the Laugingsam remaster anyway.

Cheers,
Joyce

It's hard to say.
I would have to listen VERY carefully but even then,
with my ears, my "opinion" might be problematic.
Plus it would take lots of time. I'd rather also
wait for Laughingsam master hand. Somebody wrote
that there is no much difference between flac an mp3
in case of VGP 342. It may be, once I noticed it in
case of Morphine recordings, so I delated flacs.

Oh...Joyce, I was almost sure that Rubycatgirl IS a girl :-)

Thanks for this one. All my 2002/2003 are mp3, so every upgrade is more than welcome.

edit; I have about 40 or 50 shows on cd but haven't checked these cd's yet if they are lossless.
