That depends if DAC used the "VGP/OBR" source, or the "alternate recording". Watchit shared the "alternate recording", as the info file you pasted reads.

DAC don't use the Sonic Boom tape unfortunately. This is another version of the OBR/VGP tape used many times.

Yes, this is another OBR remake (like they did some more lately), so they used the same tape as OBR (and VGP) did.

I'm kinda confused over the source, is it the "Cocaine" recording or "Born In a Crossfire" ? By the way, I dont know much about the how things are "matrix'd" but has anyone ever tried to do that with these 2 fine recordings?

I have, but I was unable to get it done. Not only do they run at different speeds, there are speed variations in the tape that I just couldn't reconcile. I agree that it's a very worthy project, though. Maybe someone with more talent and/or better equipment could do it...

well yes, you end up splitting the whole show in parts of 15-30 seconds and speed correct each of them to sync them with the other source. don`t know if a 1969 is even worse but I had the same problem with LA75. it´s very time consuming and not fun all the time, but the only chance to do it.
dont have much time right now but I keep this project here in mind in case nobody else will do it.

Am I the only one who's irritated by the fact a 1970 pic is at the front of a 1969 boot recording?

Vancouver posted a matrix in July in this forum. The speed variations were apparent.

No. But at least 1970 is closer to 1969 than 1972 is.....which they used as frontphoto for the VGP release in 1995 - so they're improving !
