The thing is that HC had to get a new server, due to some problems. And the server is allready running, we just need to "get all the stuff installed"....or something like that.

Just had my donation refunded. I said to keep it if Hunger City was going to be re-launched.

Hungercity won't be up before after new years eve, I've just read.
By the way...the HC-forum is still active and working, so if you visit that place, you'll see that it's not "over" for the tracker.....it's just the change of server which takes some time.

The server works but there is still not content...Erik, do you know if the data was saved when the old server broke down or is everything lost (torrents, user registrations, ratios etc.)?

Hi Alimente, yes all data is stored safely, luckily
The reason it takes so long, is that getting a new server takes time - and especially now, during christmas and new years eve holidays. Also it's quite pricey to make these changes, so I'll bet that donation will be appreciated when HC is online again.
But Shareef says that the new server will be even safer and faster than the old one - so hopefully we'll never get this kind of problems again.
I miss Hungercity too by the way....then again, we're not "missing out" on anything, since there's no new uploads

The longer it takes for Hungercity to come back, the more I believe that it was more than just a server failure.
