well yes, cant change the facts, lol.
I remember standing on the streets in Oakland the day after the
Sacramento show, reading that my 2 San Jose shows were postponed.
What a nice surprise for someone from Europe.
I knew I had to come back in April for these 2 shows......... and I did ;-)

lol, yes that would have been nice....
I remember that even before the show we know that the stones wanted to film one
of the shows for a future release. so there must even be a video somewhere.
so whenever there are rumours about san jose99, if definetly makes sense !

As far as I remember the San Jose shows were highly praised back in 99 and from the boots I have most of it sounds very good(I got the blues . .).

How did you like those shows, Falo?

of course I loved them, lots of my american friends have been with me there.
so I cant judge it from a neutral point of view. the whole NO99 tour was great
in retrospect.

I was reading some of thew newspapers on it. They cancelled them pretty close to show time didn't they? The morning of the show or the night before I forget.
It was probably better in April anyways. They were more then warmed up by then.

Yes I remember reading about in the papers in the paper in the lunch break room where I was working in Santa Clara on a Friday morning (think it was a "casual Friday" and I was bummed but less that you would have been having come all the way from Europe. I think I had tickets for the second show on the Saturday and these got automatically transfered to the second show in April. I was able to get a cheap ticket outside the venue for the first show, possibly on the second level though. Still I remember being stunned by MR on the B-Stage, just Mick and Keith.

I must have these shows on CDRs somewhere but I think it will be faster to source them on the net...can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I also remember a train wreck of sorts during "You don't have to Mean it" with Mick clapping furiously in his hands from the aisles to get them back on track but I see no mention of this in the reviews, [www.iorr.org] - odd

Oh that's cool, thanks a bunch.

Yes you must have been bummed, had you caught them in Oakland and Sacramento before that? I think bv said the other day that he was around at the time too.

I remember driving to work and listening to Greg Kihn on KFOX sometime in November 1998 and hearing about these concerts, I couldn't believe my luck that they would be touring again after catching them a year earlier in Oakland and starting in my neck of the woods at the time on top of it.

Is that the ALD one with Keith practically out of the mix? seems like the Philly sb from the same tour is like that too...
