Street Fighting man: Gimme Shelter/ Yer Ya Ya's hybrid

In the film Gimme Shelter, Street Fighting Man (the final song of the New York segment) is missing the middle section as it is intercut with video and audio of a DJ and Altamont. I have removed this and added in extra footage and overlaid audio from Get Yer Ya Ya's Out. I think it works well.

Thanks for that. I've done the same with Little Queenie and Carol from the Baltimore/NY shows. I will check out I'm Free and see what I can do.

the vocals are overdubbed.....so the bootleg version may sound better.

you've done a beautiful job

That is FANTASTIC!! , wow, too bad it didn't do that in the Gimme shelter movie, DJ chatter just ruined the mood at the time I (first) saw it all those years ago. You mention Little Queenie and Carol from the Baltimore/NY shows. Where are they? I would love to see more. Thank You for allowing us to see this gem! hot smiley

Hi Midimanzz, my pleasure. I'm like you when I first saw Gimme Shelter (1971!) and couldn't believe it was cut like that.
As for Carol and Little Queenie I will upload the 2 clips later tonight, so keep an eye out

Very good job. Congratulations. Only one defect at 1,28 : Mick is finishing "maan" without mic. I would also suggest to do a test with the bootleg version.
Would it be possible to upload it in avi so that we can store it in better quality?

Great work, Swayed. Thanks.

It would be great to see all the available MSG clips in one file.

Available:
1) Jumpin' Jack Flash
2) Carol
3) Love In Vain
4) Prodigal Son
5) You Gotta Move
6) Under My Thumb / I'm Free
7) Little Queenie
8) Satisfaction
9) Honky Tonk Women
10) Street Fighting Man

Four songs missing? SFTD, SCB, MR and LWM.

LIV video in GS was from MSG but audio from Baltimore, right?

How smashing it would be to see the whole concert. Maybe some day...

Maybe there is a reason why those 4 tracks are missing? Listening to Ya Ya's I would say that they are probably the best performances of the concerts. I don't mind as long as they see the light of day (before too long). You can't tell me all this footage is lost and how about the rest of the Altamont show, how good would it be to see Brown Sugar performed live for the very first time?! In the meantime lets pull together the footage we can and make a semi complete show. Hopefully you saw the part concert I posted earlier (ya ya's v's Live at leeds)
