DAC oviously found a lower generation tape than the one used by the old Victory CD in 1989. (Clearer sound, less hiss, good speed)
Unfortunately the Victory has 2 more takes of Summer Romance which don't appear on the DAC.
In another hand we have 2 "new" Blues Jams... and 3 tracks from 1975 as stupid bonuses.
Mixed feeling of happiness of having better sounding tracks and frustration of still not having the definitive set.
I keep my old Victory CD.

It is the good artwork, even if the tracklist is not the same.
As usual, DAC respected the artwork of the LP from which is "issued" this CD.

Track 2 = track 13

Vinyl:
Track A1 = track D1

So there is actually nothing missing on this DAC release but feel free to keep the now useless Victory CD!

@midnrambler; when first comparing "Dance" with your vinyl-rip, I found your vinyl rip to be better and less muddy than this DAC.
But a lot of the other songs sounds quite better on this DAC. Don't think they used your torrent - but haven't compared *that* closely.

Their last release....."Think You Like It".... wonder if it's a copy of the Silkcut torrent "Goin Mad & WIld", which you later speed corrected and removed some of the hiss from, later on.....will be interesting

yes I don't think either that it's from my torrent or they "remastered" it again. Their version also runs a little slower than my torrent. Haven't heart from their "Think You Like It" release so far.

You're right. I checked my old Victory and come to the same conclusion as you.
"Summer Romance" being one of my least favorite track of this era, I didn't really give a serious ear listen to it.
The fact the sound is slightly different on track 2 and 13 gave me the impression of different takes.
Shame DAC did a 2CD set as the Emotional sessions tracks fitted in a single CD.
Now, I can let my Victory CD go. (as you do with your vinyl.)

That explains why some tracks sound better on this DAC, compared to the vinyl of the same name, while other tracks sounds just about the same (only EQ'd a bit)

A belated thank you as I was looking for an upgrade of my dreadful "Emotional Rescue Sessions" rip from what looks like a Save the Earth CD...now downloading!
