Munichland melodies
Recorded at Musicland Studios, Munich in 1974
LP - rip / mp3 - 192 kB

I got this disc last week in a trade but sadly it appears to be lossy. So this is only in mp3.

Artwork is included in the file.

Do I get this right? You got an audio CD which was made from lossy files and converted it again to mp3? So you have a double lossy recording now???

I got an audio CD (wave-files) from which I first thought it was lossless. After checking it it appears lossy. So I converted these files to mp3 in 192 kB because I didn' t know the bitrate source from which they were made.
I cannot see what' s so strange. If you get an lossy audio recording and convert this one to mp3 it' s the same result.
I didn' t get simple mp3-files if this is what you mean.

Converting mp3 to wav and then back to mp3 makes the files even lossier than before. So unfortunately it's not the same result. I'd like to hear a true lossless rip of this boot LP.

But if you want to share these files there are only 2 ways.
1. Share it as wave-files or flac-files but explain that they are lossy
2. Double convert it to mp3 (like I did)

There are CD releases which contain these songs and more in better quality. So you don't miss anything not hearing this vinyl bootleg, which sounds muffled.

- Outtakes 1974-75 (EXR 002)
- Black & Blus Sessions (IMP-CD 005) [www.dimeadozen.org]
& some more
