So high they don't even know they're miming the tune. Happy lads.

Among their charting singles, they achieved Top 10 three times, Top 20 six times and Top 40 14 times.[6][7] They have sold over 20 million records worldwide.[8]

what a great song and video, never get tired of watching it, thanks for the post - to this day I consider the Black&Blue period as one of the Stones' very best and most creative

And great riffing from Keith.

Last night the VMA Awards' 2024 Best New Artist was Joan of f*cking Arc

[youtu.be]

Next week Chappell Roan lays seige to Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England.

I wonder if the old kingdom is ready.

__________

This vid has some fans of pop girly stuff at large (beyond Chappell's "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess" and Olivia Rodrigo's "GUTS" it's just not my genre) salivating at the thought of Chappell building a big production behind her live shows.

In the comments I added my dissent to that:

Quote

I enjoyed this but simultaneously hope it's a one-off situation for tv and that she doesn't go the route of big production and back-up dancers in her live shows.

She's got the goods right in her music, that masterpiece of an album, Chappell and her music don't need a lot else cluttering up her stage.

They added more only a few times this year, at festivals, but just Chappell, Lucy, Devon, and Allie plus backing track were great live.

For the record I don't like it when rock bands start adding pieces and as time goes on wind up with 20 people onstage either.

Bring along Mia for backing vocals, but keep the shows about the femininomenal music, please.

So glad I saw her this year while I still could (and for $47 smiling smiley)

Well past his prime ("a baldheaded fat has-been") but he's still a compelling entertainer. In his book, Ron Wood said Marriott couldn't have joined The Stones because he was "a strummer" but it looks like he was a pretty fair lead guitarist. Voice sounds shot, though.

Pure '80s cheese but I always kinda liked the tune- a guilty pleasure from the keyboard player in early lineup of Rainbow.
