What a Shame the videos in this thread can't be played.

A few years back it was revealed on dutch tv that the music of Venus was plagiarism.

Here is a video about it:

video: [youtu.be]

Yeah, blatant, but still, cracking single!

I thought this would be about copping the riff from "Pinball Wizard."

Nirvana's first record was a cover of a Shocking Blue song, Love Buzz

Thanks, roadster, great find.

Went do DC, Indy and Giants Stadium for a total of 5 shows.
Great tour, great times!

Great. In 1994 Mick was still quoting Keith or mentioning keith a lot in interviews like that one.
Rockandroll,

And they were considered ancient THEN. How great is it that they're still recording and touring 23 years later??

Just thoroughly enjoyed watching all of that! Thank you very much Roadster. VL was my favourite tour too. It was considered mad then for such an old band to still be touring and fast forward 23 years and another tour is being planned.

All hail the Stones smileys with beer

It's not complete, I don't believe. I recorded it too and have yet to convert it. But I plan to one of these days ...

Wow, I remember recording this off the TV back then...still have the old VHS tape somewhere.

Interesting to see Parachute Woman on the song list (15:45 mark).

The description mentions that it is not complete and didn't say it is, so what's your point?

Better this than nothing.

Good interviews, although Brand New Car still underwhelmes, especially compared to the stuff on B&L.

WTF - during the part when they are talking about Bill Wyman being gone, we see them playing "BRand New car". For a minute when Jagger is pictured behind him I see Bill Wyman?
Like some joker mounted him there or something.

I've always had a soft spot for it, but then again, it was my first proper Stones album (yes, I'm relatively young by Stones fan standards).

In 50 years from now VL will be remembered as the album with the most fillers since Exile. Brand New Car is great, btw, one of the albumĀ“s highlights.

My dad had the VHS tape recorded of this. He also recorded the Miami '94 show right afterwards, as he had bought the pay-per-view package. Good times.

Yeah I've got that around here somewhere on vhs, kinda forgot about that one. To me, Voodoo Lounge has become the "Exile" of it's day. Great album with a lot of great vibes going on in and around the recording and tour. Maybe some day we'll get an "official" 10cd box of all the outtakes.

thumbs up

We did the exact same thing, I still have the VHS tape.
The preconcert part/sctick was fuuny, I think Whoppi hosted it...
Charlie was funny and the whole show at Joe Robbie Stadium (even just watching from PPV) was a ton of fun.

That Miami PPV is amazing. The sound quality is unfortunately terrible, but it's SO much fun. I wore that VHS out when I was a teen.

Great special; I have it on VHS also.

Even though 1995 was my first time seeing them, and VL first new album as a fan, I never found myself watching the tour DVDs until recently. Much preferred the excellent Babylon tour. Lately though I watched quite a few VL tour pro shots and have to say I loved 'em!! Giants Stadium, Miami, Beunos Aires and Tokyo - musically far better than I remembered.

The St. Louis B2B PPV is really good, but there's something more "live" and "real" about the Miami PPV that I dig. Even though the sound quality is far inferior, it just feels more like you're there.

I stumbled across these and saw that they haven't had that many views, so i thought maybe the wider community might enjoy these video's from The Bridges to Babylon Tour. Whoever produced these was in one very privileged position.

It brings a smile to my face at 5:25 of Part 5 when you see a young fella discover that the Stones are the Greatest Rock n' Roll Band on the planet

Part 2 [www.youtube.com]

I have this one on DVD. From Giants Stadium. It gives you a brilliant insight to what it must be like to be on stage. I have always wondered who taped it. It must be someone very close to the band.
