I know he played on this one with the Stones and did some great versions of JJF, but did Mr. Russell ever collaborate with the Stones (including Keith)?

According to Songfacts Leon Russell and Nicky Hopkins both played piano on Live With Me. Russell also helped arrange the sax section.

If the Stones don't play it, someone has to do it. Good job Rich !

I agree Winter along with Moonlight Mile are my favorite Stones songs and if jagger does not want to sing Winter and when others do it's great Its just kind of strange that along with sway three of there greatest studio songs have no Keith. Just MT Jagger collaboration

Play the guitar boy

Saw the Chris Robinson Brotherhood on new years and they covered Hot Stuff and Its Only Rock n Roll. Awesome versions, they have also been playing Winter on their recent tour.

Official promo video for the Rolling Stones' 1990 single "Sex Drive"

One of their best non-live / concert videos and one where Charlie actually seems to be enjoying it. I always thought it sounded very similar to Keith's solo song Big Enough released a few years earlier.

I love this live version of Big Enough:

Cream - Rollin' and Tumblin' - Royal Albert Hall on May 4th, 2005

Ahhhhhhh the power of 3. They sound so good when not too loud and trying to outdo each other.

Then again I like this version just as much :

Imogen Heap and Jeff Beck - Rollin and Tumblin live at Ronnie Scott's 2007
