Thanks for posting Sicilian. I am obsessive/ compulsive about the 1969 tour and can't get enough of print, audio and video from it so that was a real treat.

A complete multitrack audio concert(s), like Baltimore, MSG and Altamont, and more of the Maysles MSG/ Altamont video are my ultimate holy music grails so hopefully they release some of that stuff collecting dust in the vaults before us old Stones fans pass on.

Johnny Thunders is on the audience as well, isn't he?

This is from the performance on Nov.27th.
You can find it in better quality on
"Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out" Deluxe edition CD/DVD from 2009.

Every true Stones fan should have this at home!

Oops.

That is how a gig should be. No damn phones, crowd right up to the stage, leaning on the monitors.
Is this clip really "Satisfaction" though?

The thing I like most about the video is that it is filmed from a crowd perspective. Rarely do you get such extended audience views. It's almost to the point of watching the crowd and listening to the Stones. This type of video is what it was like in the audience at a 1969 Stones concert.

I would say it definitely is "Satisfaction," you can lip read Mick at various points and follow the notes on a a few guitar shots. The very end is a little iffy though.

I used to live an hour from NYC by train and saw many a concert there in the 70's and it is my favorite place to see a concert alltime.

The atmosphere was just fantastic back in the day and bands always seemed to give it their best when playing there. It didn't hurt that you could smoke whatever you wanted at concerts back then. There was always a great cloud of sweet smoke hovering over the floor at concerts in the old days. Just not the same with the strict no smoking rules here in the U.S. now. grinning smiley

Nice thanks, I was at that show!
Had horrible nosebleed seats at the back of the gigantic Coliseum, but still had a great time. That said, I never sat that far back at a Stones show ever again - or any show for that matter.
There comes a time when you realize if you're going to go to a concert and want to get the full experience, sitting in the rafters a mile away is not the optimum place to be.

Let’s Spend The Night Together. Best version I’ve seen online. The whole movie in HD with excellent stereo sound. Sounds great on my headphones! And it runs at the correct speed!!!

There was only ONE band in the world that could rock harder than this performance in 1972.
For me, this is Perfect and Wonderful and Essential.
They are purposely out-glamming everyone else at the time pretty much,
off-handedly creating the huge Punk Rock spate of popular bands in their wake in the next several years.
The heart/soul Inspiration for The Pistols themselves, such is their wild abandon and commitment.
This is a super and very smart, perceptive song imo, tho it's pretty much Lost Hisotry for most, and considered sorta derisively by a Lot of fans.
Sure there had been Pete Townshend Power Chords, and guys in the 50's that preceded him with simlilar approaches....
and others too, MC5 comes to mind...others too...
but The Dolls, imo, took the scattered seedlings of the rawest most outragous
(what would come to be called 'shock rock' and 'Punk" and loads of other things),
and for a very brief instant, cause i do NOT like their follow-up LP,
and in all honesty rarely go to their wonderful debut.
By the time of the 2nd LP, "Too Much Too Soon," well,
the title proved to be the solid truth. it sorta sucked.
as do, lol, a lot of cuts on their first LP (the one I like haha!)
but this here?
Amazes and Delights me every time . I consider it a superemly important
performance in all of Rock and Roll History.

My other supreme guity pleasure in these regards IS MC5...
