For those, like me, who like this type of stuff.

We'll be having our own for our beloved Candlestick Park soon... the 49ers start play in their new, state of the art Stadium this Fall, the SF Giants having moved out in 2000 into their new Stadium downtown... gonna MISS that place, saw the Rolling Stones for the first time @ Candlestick in Oct 1981, and of course, the Beatles played their FINAL concert on Aug 29, 1966 at the 'Stick, then you have all those memories of Joe Montana to Jerry Rice & 5 Super Bowl Trophy's...

Gripweed, yes, and Macca's thinking about doing one last show there.

A bit OT, but somewhat related, the NBA'a Milwaukee Bucks were told recently that their arena was "unsuitable for NBA basketball." It was built in 1988 FOR basketball. This "we gotta have a new stadium" mentality by fans, owners, etc, is getting absurd.

Nice video thanks. Stones '78, and '81. Many Dead shows (One with Dylan in '87 sticks in my mind.) Live Aid, long list of great concerts in that HUGE venue. 100,000 IIRC

Beatles played there, too, 1966, but I've yet to see a good photo of that gig.

Yeah, I wanted to post that photo of George tuning up, but I couldn't swing it.
When John was interviewed by Tom Snyder in 1975, Snyder mentioned the gig. He covered it as a reporter in 1966.

Anyway, I've always loved stadiums and areans, and I love the '78 show there, warts and all.

With a seating capacity of 102,000, it must surely be the largest venue they ever played. I wonder what the attendance was. When they made their second visit to Shea Stadium that summer, they played to 45,000 people and 10,000 empty seats.

My first concert - Stones '81 - then Live Aid '85. Notice the spectrum and the vet in the background of the first shot. None of those stadiums are there anymore either.

This is actually a FOUR TOPS song

It´s German, this band is from Hamburg, and the chorus means:

"If the world was perfect / and if it was a song / would be by Holland-Dozier-Holland or Barret Strong..."

Ahoi, Seb

This New Orleans style version of Sweet Child O Mine done by Postmodern Jukebox featuring Miche Braden makes the existence of Guns and Roses somewhat acceptable......peace

You're obviously not on the right medication.....just joking. I think the vocal performance is friggin outstanding. Love to see this big black diva belting it out. Anyway it would likely be dangerous to share your opinion to Ms. Braden in person, she's probably stomp you in the dirt. smiling smiley peace
