Very sad news.

Well, certainly no chance of a Pink Floyd reunion / tour after this.

Had no idea he was ill, I guess he wanted to keep it private, and rightly so.

Aw crap.......this is sad. I remember in concert he sang lead vocals on "Us And Them," which I guess he wrote.......killer song.

I remember buying 'Wet Dream' away back in 1978 and ranting and raving about how good it was to my mates. I'm sad tonight.

'Great Gig In The Sky'- a peerless classic, beyond description.

RW was a great musician and also seemed like a cool person all around. I have always enjoyed his music. He contributed a lot to PF. Will never forget the one PF show I attended in Cleveland around 1993.

That's shocking, I had no idea he was ill. Very sad news. Saw them in '94 and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. It was doubtful Pink Floyd would have ever reunited but there sure isn't any chance now. Very sad news, on many levels.

Damn. I really don't consider myself too wimpy, but I cried watching the Floyd reunion at Live8. I may have "concentrated" on seeing the Stones live, but Pink Floyd put on some of the best concerts I ever attended. R.I.P.

That's really sad news and a very big loss for the music world!

I'm so glad, that I've seen Mr. Richard Wright with Pink Floyd in 1988 and the 2nd time with David Gilmour (solo tour) in 2006. Both concerts were a big pleasure for my ears!

Sadly, there will never be a Pink Floyd reunion tour in the classic line-up!

RIP Richard Wright

Not a huge fan of the Floyd but a friend leant me his autobiography and he came across a really decent guy and I thoroughly enjoyed his story

That's very sad news indeed, an old girlfriend of mine was a big fan , went with her and another girl to see Dark Side Of The Moon at Wembley Empire Pool around the time of its release,
Fantastic musicianship , so glad I went , a treasured memory.

I saw him with Gilmour at the Olympia 2 years ago. sad news really. The Floyd is one of my favourites for their unique sound.
Quite strange : I did not listen to a Floyd record for months except this last saturday, Dark Side in wonderful sacd.

This is sad news. The best show I have ever seen was Pink Floyd performing The Wall at Earls Court in 1981. RIP Rick, thanks for all the great music.
