What do you think: which songs could have been classics – with some more effort in the studio and some more creative input?
My vote goes for THINK I`M GOING MAD. Could have been another WOAF.
Next: ONNYA. Sorry, to my ears it sounds half-baked. With an 1977-attitude and different guitar arrangement (“Respectable, Whip“) it could have been easily a classic.

well ... to me a "classic" means a number that intertwines with the larger culture over time,
so to my mind newer works need to be "lived in" a while before we can call them classics or non-classics ...
but It Won't Take Long sounds off-balance to me: the music is fit for a larger theme
than the very specific & personal lyrics. it's not that i don't like the lyrics -
just that they're very ... narrow. way less resonant than the music.
