Who could have thought that England will whitewash South Africa. The Return of ANdrew Flintoff has prooved the difference. His batting and bowling were awesome. If English can play like this then they can whitewash Aussies also in the ashes.

the 5th ODI, isn't till tomorrow (Wed 3rd), so talk
of a 'whitewash', is a little premature.

If the weather carries on as it is, I'll be surprised if there's any play tomorrow

What will you comment about the return of Andrew Flintoff. It;s good to see Pietersen is using him in 5th position is batting rather at 7 or 8.

he's generally better, the higher up the order he plays.

I think our bowling attack has been the key for the ODI's- Pietersen can rely on Flintoff and Harmison as second change bowlers.

He can rely on them both, at the moment.
Both have 'fragile' bodies, and are injury prone, and Harmison's
temprement and consistency can be called into question, more often
than not.
It's the youngsters, coming through into the side, that are giving me encouragement...the likes of Broad and Patel, who have yet to
cultivate ego's and bad habits.

I'm not sure that Harmison can ever be counted on for away series, and he can be pretty horrible at home. Still, I'm glad he's doing well now though I would have counselled against picking him if the committee had thought to ask me!

Freddie's looking very fit at the moment and absit omen won't be bowled into the ground with a decent pace attack to back him up.

I think it's highly unlikely we'll whitewash the ockers next year, but we could still win back the Urn....smileys with beer

You might have to scrape me off the floor at the end of the tour, but it'll be really good scrapings. - Mick Jagger

It's been a revelation really. Flintoff has been a huge plus and Pietersen has been a breath of fresh air as captain.

I'm not getting carried away; South Africa have too many players off form and the rest of their squad are demob happy at the end of a long tour.

If Flintoff stays fit and Harmy keeps his mojo then we have a realistic shout in the Ashes. We will need to rely on the Aussies having a couple of off form players as they did in 2005 (Gilly, Dizzy Gillespie, Kasper et al). It will be an interesting series & I've got my tickets already for the Edgbaston test.

i'm hopeful for a couple of test victories, against them, but
to win the series and the Ashes, i think, on this occasion,
is sadly, to big an ask.
