6/22/75 - opening night at MSG - clapton on sympathy enore

random memory--see those empty seats? I remember them all going to get close to the stage before JJF--

with blonde hair? I mean there's only a half dozen or so fans that seem to be clapping hands over their heads.

no--black shirt--sleeves pushed back--right under that little white square--

tech question--that shot of the stones waiting to go out on stage--when they go out carrying their guitars--is there a live plug waiting for them at their respective amps? dumb question i know, but i'm curious

Seems to be the only option since this was the pre-wireless guitar era Stones (or was it playback after all...)

right--so they're gear was never waiting for them already plugged in, post soundcheck and ready to go? seems odd hey'd have to mess with plug ins (unless a tech was out there doing it)

That was gonna be my second choice.

Here are a few pictures l shot at Madison Square Garden in NYC in 75, l have many more but l am in the process of tranfering them to my computer from slides..

l was at the Garden for all six shows in 75,but l can't recall which day the pictures were taken, l shot each show but some of them did not come out any good,l have probably hundreds of slides of those shows, the problem was that l did not know how to transfer slides to computer,but my son who is a photographer,is doing them for me and cleaning them out with photoshop,so litle by litle l will post many more..

Well in all honesty at this stage of the game is all kind of blurry,l remember the first show l was sitting on the left side of the stage,(to me up to now the 75 stage, the lotus flower is the best ever),the drumming by some group from Trinidad, then the Copeland intro,and then the fisrt chords of HTW,as the stage opened up,it was amazing,seeing Bianca on my side of the stage wearing a sailor's suite was great she looked beautifull,the whole show was terrefic, Mick riding the plastic dick,and at the end Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton joining the band for Symphathy. All the shows were very good,the only part l didn't enjoy much was Fingerprint File and the Billy Preston numbers.
Like l said before l will eventually put up more pictures from the different shows,

this thread is great stones at their best I think. There is a site where you can see what the stones were wearing (stageclothes)at what venue in 1972. I wish we could have that for 1975 also.
