Erik_Snow is the vastly knowledgeable specialist on that -
a lot of his expertise is on display in assorted threads, like the "1975 sucks" thread.
so it's mainly a question of coaxing him to present it all in chronological order.

Ah that's a way too kind compliment of you, with Sssoul. You're an axpert on finding the correct date...AND credits for photos, yourself!
But...there are people with more knowledge than me about TOTA shots - also on this board. TornAndFrayed comes to mind as one of them.
And....these months, I don't have all my magazines/photos/books with me, to compare these pictures - not even the great TOTA 1975 from Genesis (allthough there are lots of mistakes concerning the dates/venues of the photos, even in that book).
Would love to have a website dealing with the other 70s tours - presented in the same way as Harald Colson's work. I guess it's a matter of time before somebody does that. One of the problems is that there are quite a lot of pictures which one has "promised not the share"....whether they are "real photos" or scans.

ROPENI, these MSG pics are awesome! Keep ´em coming.

I´m so damn obsessed with this tour that whenever I see a ´75 pic I instinctively start to wonder which show it belongs to...

I bought the out of print ´75 Leibovitz book (with Terry Southern foreword) recently and I was a bit underwhelmed. It´s good but I expected more concert photos.

The Sykes Genesis book (best 700 bucks I ever spent ) was very helpful in attaching ´75 concert photos to each date although some of the book´s content is very misleading (e.g. pics from Milwaukee in the Cleveland chapter, pics from Chicago all over the book,...).

There are still a lot of unsolved mysteries, for example:
- What outfits were they wearing at each of the 6 MSG dates?
- What outfits were they wearing at each of the 5 LA Froum dates?

Here is a link to some interesting L.A. shots that was posted on Rocks Off: [www.vintagerockandrollphotography.com] (It takes a trick to enlarge these in IE). We can see Keith wearing five different outfits but which one belongs to which date? Can anyone who attended these shows enlighten us?

Indeed, to me, this tour (and 1978) are tours that I'm really obsessed with.
Funny, the '76 tour means nothing to me.
And the lotus stage is the best R&R stage ever...by anyone.
Bono can only dream of a stage like that.
Kudos to Jagger for getting Jules Fisher and Robin Wagner involved.
Regarding the outfits, I was at the July 10 show, and I remember
Ronnie wearing green (a long green coat I seem to remember),
Bill wore all black, I don't remember what Jagger wore (I think that
pink jacket), and I don't remember what Keith wore. I was only 12.
I was just in awe of that lotus stage when I walked into the arena.
chinese decorations hanging from the rafters, Chinese dragons walking around,
purple shrowd. You really had to be there. The photos don't do it justice.
I remember e-mailing a guy a while back who said he took photos
of all 5 nights at the LA Forum, and when I asked if I could see any,
he mysteriously vanished.

No that's too kind, TornAndFrayed. Still think you have more knowledge than me when it comes to this. I got an obsession for this tour as well - in fact it's my favourite Rolling Stones tour....there's just about nothing that rocks as awesome as the greatest of the TOTA shows.

Have the same problem as you, when it comes to knowing which photos that comes from each of the LA/NYC/Chicago shows....I might be able to get some of it correct, if I brought all pics/books I have to my present location.

It even took a long time for me to seperate the Baton Rouge photos from the San Antonio photos, as they basically wore the same - for at least one of the shows at each of them cities. The photos Britney pasted - which I also posted at the 1975 sucked thread (available on the web)....they are from Baton Rouge allright, but right now I can't remember if it was the 1st or 2nd show. If memory serves, Jagger wore green trousers at the 2nd show....didn't he?

Here's a few examples of photos which are easy to identify....because of Santana's appearance. They are from the last NYC show (June 27th). No new scans, just some of the photos I have stored on the PC - added with Ropeni's scans

Since we are at it....I have a hunch that that the footage which exist from Chicago 75 comes from the July 22nd show, instead of the July 23rd show....which is the commonly accepted date for this video. But I can't be positive - as I haven't double-checked this. Maybe TornAndFrayed knows.....

And yeah...those LA 1975 photos are tricky. The only thing I remember for (90% sure), is that Jagger wore a black leather vest for the opening night. But the other shows....that needs serious comparision and research....with the exception of July 11th of course.

I remember from 6/22/75 thta jagger wore the pinkish egyptian pajama thing with the pink/purple striped jacket

also, he wore that black glass choker that's also visible in the carlos santana shot--and it's from the IORR bubble video

Just harking back to the 'plug-in guitar' thing, is this the first time Mick experimented with wireless mics? On the LA vid & in a couple of Ropenis' pix here he is clearly using one.

Seems plausible that the footage is from the first night (22th) because it was shot by a news crew.

I´m pretty sure I know the band outfit "markers" for the three Chicago dates, I´m just not 100% certain which one belongs to which date.

where is this video???

Anyone have the picture of Wood wearing a bucket? I believe it was the LA show.
