I have found this DVD: [www.bontonland.cz] in my local shop and I wnated to ask if it is any good. It is obviously a bootleg (the label is woodstock tapes or woodstock records or something to do with woodstock), and they sell it in a regular shop for about 25 Euro, which is unbelievable I think. But still, I only have the official DVD of the Winos and I would love to see some show from 1993. So if it is really good, I would go and buy it. But on the other hand I wouldn't like to be ripped off, like when I bought Voodo in Tokyo in the same shop for the same price and the quallity really wasn't worth it. So will somebody help me to decide?

yeah, its a very joyful performance, and it circulates in excellent quality.
there used to be a clip from it on Keith's site ... probably still there ...
(you might consider trading for it instead of buying it, though -
if you ask on the Hot Stuff forum i bet someone will help you!)

And also, thanks Happy 24. Its ok-I dont need anything. I give away cdrs and dvdrs all the time(especially when someone has a hard time getting a response!) I just didnt want to see you pay a ridiculous price for something!

So the shops in Germany are also full of bootlegs (or is it an exception?), except that for a third of the price that they cash here. I find that a bit sad, since most of the people are not able to recognize it at the first sight and there is no warning. One should be at least warned that this is not an official product. This bahaviour of the sellers/shops is abuse to the customer and it is also discreditable for the artists, who have no impact on that. At least the price in Germany can give you a hint, but here this one bootleg is half of the price of Four Flicks or Biggest Bang and it costs twice as much as Bridges to Babylon or LSTNT DVDs.

true that the quality of the Koln show is great,
but i've never seen Keith as uncomfortable and unhappy on stage as at that show.
he really seems to be suffering, and although there's nothing else wrong with the performance,
that really makes it hard for me to enjoy the Koln dvd. i wonder what was wrong - was he ill,
or were the conditions somehow disastrously bad, or what ...

the Boston show on the other hand is a hugely joyful performance - Steve Jordan even falls off his seat laughing at one point. :E

YEAH! Two hours of uninterupted rock and funk. You WILL get yer fill!!

I watched this show on the computer after downloading it form Hot Stuff of the iorr web site. It's amazing in sound and video. Although after downloading all the files I added it to a VIDEO_TS folder and than proceeded to burning it with Nero and I get an error saying reallocation failure and this video may not be playable. I tried disregarding the message and burned it anyway and it will not play on my home dvd player.

Is there anyway I can fix this? Or am I doing soemthing wrong?
Please note that I have successfully downloaded and burned other dvd's from the Hot Stuff in the iorr.com.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated. I really love this guy and performances. This is a must have for me.

Fixed. I had to find another place to download it and noticed there was one vidoe ts mising that this one here didn't have.

Was Keith ever better live on guitar than on the second Wino tour?
With the Stones he was great in '78 and '81, but those were huge stadium shows. W/ the Winos he was in clubs, theatres.
And one could make the point that waddy is an even better partner for him that Ron Wood. Waddy has a good dose of Taylor in him, yet way more rhythmic chops than MT.

For me it wasn’t til the Licks tour his deterioration in guitar skills started to show. Sorry.

Don't be sorry. It's true. His fingers had started to look seriously bad about 2000/01 . He does well considering the arthritis, but it has limited and slowed his playing without a doubt. He was on top of his game in 93 though !
