This priceless article posted over in the Berlin concert thread [www.iorr.org] gave me an idea: I'm a history undergraduate student and a massive Stones fan, so it'd be very very interesting to read things about them written out of the 'socialist' perspective. Does anyone of you have old articles or clippings about the Stones from such newspapers or magazines such as Junge Welt, Sputnik or Neues Deutschland?
Some great in in retrospect quite funny comments about the Stones in the article, I gave the link to.

Try to get the hardcover-book "Die Rolling Stones-Musik und Geschäft". it`s printed in the GDR (1986) and has all these comments (rebellion attidude in a capitalistic system and so on).You can get it on ebay right now.

I would go for this to German fan sites.

There are a lot of east German fans on those sites.
Some can't speak English that good because of their upbringing.
