What If You Had A Time Machine

I´d be on that platform to see what records Mick had under his arm.
At the pool to see what exactly happened to Brian. And who robbed his house just after.
And at the sacking of Brian. To hear what was said.

If I wasn't limited to a one-time use, I'd be wearing that bitch out!

I'm a history buff in general, so I'd never quit finding a use for it.

i'd fast forward to 2062, and book my Platinum hotseat / t-shirt/pin/ package, for the 100th Anniversary Stones tour.

I'd go to one of the first Stones gigs to hear them early on and
ask Charlie if I could sit in on one number late in the evening.

Then I'd go back to Roswell to see what really happened in 47.

Then I'd go to Dallas and the school book depoistory to see what really happened there.

I could probably come up with some more stuff but that would be a good start.

mhhh...I don't want to be 50 or 60 already, so I won't put me back into the 60ies but at least as far back, as I were able to see some Steel Wheels-shows. And Voodoo Lounge. And Bridges To Babylon. And No Security.

I'd go back to February, 1971 and decline my older brother's half-arsed offer to get me a Stones ticket for their gig at the Liverpool Empire.

Should have gone myself.

I would have liked to experience the emerging '50's RnR and Blues acts in their natural environment, i.e., the small, sweaty clubs. I fantasize about crossing racial lines and seeing the Black artists in that setting.

But having said that I am VERY grateful to have grown up listening to '60's popular music. Having grown up in So. California the Beach Boys defined my existence like the air I breathed; RnB and Motown; the British Invasion; and oh, yeah, Dylan. Lots of barriers being pushed, lots of fine song craftmenship; lots of fine musicianship. All and all, I can't complain about the music of my youth.

I would go to Brian's house in 69 and either:
a:kick the ass of whoever held Brian under if thats what happened or
b:pulled him out.
Either way, tried to have him here with us today.

I'd meet Keith at the station ... before robbing Mick taking his records. I'd be the singer of the Rolling Stones :-) And I wouldn't have to create words because I know them all!!!

Seriously speaking, I'd love to see the Stones in 1969 - 1982 ...

Hyde Park '69 > despite big crowd and bad sound.
No Brian, but with quite normal Mick Taylor.
''Adonians'', Marianne and Anita on same stage. Whats more?
(And no visas)
I also declined good ofer for this, because I didn't understand Stones quite well.

I'd love a time machine, always fancied that concept! First I'd love to live for a few months during the time of Jesus Christ, providing I could speak in the tongues of that time; I'd love to have witnessed the resurrection, but before that, I'd have wanted to hear Christ speak to the masses.
I love the idea of killing @#$%& before he got started!! I also like the idea of thwarting the assassination of JFK, and to add to that line of thinking, I'd love to have prevented RFK from being killed; I always had great hope for Bobby Kennedy.
Next, I would want to meet Mick and Keith as 16 year olds!! I'd want to be at Mick's house during those early reheasals, see how his parents allowed them to play, and encouraged them to play their style of music.
I also would want to see what really happened to Brian, and of course Jimi, and Jim Morrison. I'm not so sure I believe the Pamela story of Jim's death. Jimi could have been saved if his dumb ass girl friend had been a little alert that night! What a stupid way to die! Puking and suffocating on your own vomit! That man had so much to live for, even though he was discouraged by the way he was being managed. I'd love to be there to take him out of that scene and if he wanted to pursue a more jazzy style of play, I would have loved to hear what it would have been.
Going back a bit, I always found the whole British Invasion fascinating so I'd want a flat near Carnaby St in the early 60's!! I may not come back from there! Imagine seeing the Stones catch fire, the Beatles, Dave Clark 5, Kinks, Mayall, Clapton, Who, etc!!! WOW! I think I'll stay at the Marquee Club!

I would have loved to have gotten into the show @ Sir Morgans Cove in '81. Also in Worcester on April 30 , 1965 @ The Worcester Memorial Auditorium .

And The Beatles also played here in '65 .
