Did anyone prefered the new touch of satisfaction which was given by Keith before he starts the actual riff ?Do you feel that he should keep that new touch for the upcomming if they tour?

I liked it but he didn't play it like this at every show.
Anyway, much better than without.

yeah he started to use double stops on the opening lick. Instaed of just playing B, C# and D he also plays E, F# and G on the forth string along with the main lick. I think Mr. Soul by Buffalo Springfield is in that style.

All live comparisons of this song pale to the 69 tour. That was a fine reworking of this warhorse.

I like 'em all but for me personally nothing beats the LOUD Telecaster intro on the Babylon Tour!

I rather liked it. The thick Gibson sound was muddied by the stadium acoustics very often... but when you could hear it properly was a nice twist.

Listened to "SAL" again, driving home last night, and just loved his "new" intro to "Satisfaction". Like a machine gun, a little "Marc Bolanish" touch. It's fantastic that he, 44 years after writing the song, actually still explores it, renews it and apparently loves doing it. And he never stops surprising me. One of the reasons why he has my deepest respect. Dignity is a word that comes into my mind when listening to SAL and boots from the 07-tour. Can't wait for Sept '09... New tour, more golden moments - luvly!

It's dirty, it's mean, mighty unclean.
Satisfaction was changed for every tour since 1969. Such an easy riff, but so many variations of it. I like every version of that song. Awesome.

I think it sounds plain ugly.

nice, but nothing to get wet pants about it...! it does not have the raw and unbelievable power of, lets say 1967 live versions, nor does it have the dreamlike musicianship of the 1969 version.

I like the intro. I personally prefer the song when it's in a position in the set list that does not result in an 8 minute vamp of a song. It was very nice in the Bridges tour, I think.
