Lisa Fischer is turning 50 this year...

Incredible - she's really looking a lot younger. Afro american women really carry their age a lot better than the rest of us. Good for them!
Anyway, the amazing Miss Fischer deserves our gratitude and respect.
Does anyone know her real birthdate? On the net there seems to be some confusion. Both August and December mentioned. (And I didn't even read all the articles.)

She puts on some wonderbra on stage I think, because she's not that sexy if you meet her on the road (even if she still is much more than acceptable also in that situation). Anyway, so amazing she's turning 50! Well done!!!

Wikipedia says 7th December, but in the notes it says also it's only a possible date and not to be trusted 100% smiling smiley. Have the Stones played any show on 7th December "recently"?

It would be a nice way to check, "happy birthday Lisa" during band introductions should've happened.

My first Stones show was on Dec 7th in 1997. I don't recall any birthday wishes to her on that night.

Yeah, she´s really a young-looking lady!
When I saw the Stones last summer she was dancing and jumping around in Jumping Jack Flash and wow, she looked liked a teenaged girl! 18 or 19 years old or something!

Yes, and then there's this-,... (And I found August 25th somewhere else.)

Lisa Fischer (born December 7, 1958) is an American Grammy Award winning R&B singer best known for her beautiful image, impressive vocal range and talents that reach high up to the whistle register, and her 1991 hit single "How Can I Ease the Pain". She has released 5 singles to date and all of them have been Top 40 R&B hits.

Fischer was born in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. Before pursuing a solo career, she accompanied R&B singer Luther Vandross as a backup singer on several of his tours & albums until his death, in addition to providing backing vocals for artists including Melba Moore and Billy Greene. She has worked several other famous singers, both as a session vocalist and a backup singer. Musicians she has supported include Chaka Khan, Tina Turner and Roberta Flack.

Her career peaked with the 1991 release of "How Can I Ease the Pain" from her album So Intense, which won her a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in 1992. The album So Intense spawned three Top 20 R&B hits and peaked at #5 on The Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. Also it peaked at #100 on the Billboard 200 chart. Fischer also provided stirring vocals on the power ballad "Colors of Love" which was featured on the soundtrack album for the film Made in America. She also released a single, "On the Upside", under the stage name of X?na, in 1983. In 1984, a club track she recorded entitled "Only Love (Shadows)" was briefly featured in the motion picture Beat Street and was later released in 1995 as part of the Hot Productions' "The Best Of Criminal Records" compilation.

She is currently a session musician as a vocalist for both Atlantic Records and GRP Records and has toured as a backup vocalist with the Rolling Stones for the past 17 years. She worked as a backup vocalist during the same period of time for Luther Vandross for a 18 years before his death, having to juggle her time between his concert tours and those of the Rolling Stones, with whom she has a growing audience as she plays the foil to Mick Jagger onstage more and more frequently. She also toured with Tina Turner for her Twenty Four Seven Tour. The tour was the top grossing of 2000 worldwide. She continues to sing backup for Tina Turner & The Rolling Stones as well as write songs. Lisa was just recently featured in April's Issue of Jet Magazine's Where Are They Now. Lisa hopes to record a new album soon..

So, what's the right date? (one web site says ..."born in the mid sixties..."

Well, I was in Seattle in september 1998 and there was a private party on the Space Needle and I did ask the elevator guy who's birtday it was and he told me "Lisa Fischer, backing vocalist for the Stones.
It was september 21st, my birthday, still it could make sense she had a party there.

I guess we are the same age but I never would have thought so. I have met her several times and thought she might be early to mid 40's.

Lisa's fine, but boy did I detest her screaming like one of 'em rednecks on American Idol during I'll Go Crazy. Just terrible.

I'm quite suprised she turns 50 soon. Doesn't look it, then again, if you look after yourself, the ageing proccess can be a slow one.

I think she's great and the Stones show wouldn't be the same without her.
