One of the ugliest cars ever released, sorry.

The Chevy Aveo is also not that nice, but it's a reasonable car - and the ad is excellent, if you remember the Citroen ad some years ago.

Renault are rather famous for being faulty. Cheaper than Japanese cars but not half as good unfortunately

Renault cars are quite efficient. Good cars but the problem is the design sad smiley
it is made for a vast public without any sense of what beautiful does mean...

However they can do some beauty See the new Laguna

Yeah, but that's a concept car. Won't look like that when it's released...

I see, it does look like that. Very nice indeed, usually the real cars are considerably different from the concept versions. It's not in the showrooms yet, though - I keep on arguing about that because I'm working in the car industry and I should know what cars are available now winking smiley

What can you tell us about the Chevrolet Volt?

GM's big hope is actually investing into a wide range of alternative engines and fuels. There is currently 10 or so hydrogen-fueled cars being tested on public roads right now, which is a quite big thing. Also, they are heavily investing into biofuel made from agricultural waste. The other technology that promises some success is electric engines, one of the cars using it is the Volt. The problem with for example the Toyota Prius is on the one hand that it is very expensive and that the range is very limited. That will be much better with the next generation electric engines such as the Chevrolet Volt or also other GM products (and I don't doubt that competitors have something similar). Opel/Vauxhall will have an electric car ready for the market around 2010. GM's fate pretty much depends if they can get those new technologies on the market quickly and communicate the benefits to the customers...

Would be interesting to see your profit margins for the Dacia Logan and talk to your dealers if they (can) give any rebates...
