I only saw Bo once performing. In a small club in Cologne/Germany. Must have been in the 80s. Great show! He was a real cool cat...

Sad news.

But millions of people all over the world will keep on enjoying his songs, or to songs based on that wonderful rhythm - and that's his memorial.

Thank you, Bo. RIP.

My brother called me while I was at work last night. He told me the news. He's a big prankster though, and I didn't really believe him. Then it hit me. What if it was true? I wrote several text messages to Stones fans, wanting to hear if it was true or not. Then Baboon Bro called me and told me. I also got text messages from Vilhelm, Mistress and Unabomber from here. I was completely bummed by it (Still am BTW).

Here's to Bo. May the good Lord shine a light on him. A legend has passed. sad smiley

Regret to say I only saw him once, and it was only for a couple songs, at the Oct. 1990, all-star tribute to John Lee Hooker at Madison Square Garden. On a night filled with died-and-gone-to-heaven moments, not the least of which, the sight of Hooker and Willie Dixon on stage TOGETHER, it was Bo's brief set that stole the show.

Robert Plant: "Although the Stones were great, they were really crap compared with Diddley," Plant said in a 1990 interview with Q magazine. "All his rhythms were so sexual, just oozing, even in a 20-minute spot."

Deep respect Bo.

Thanks for all of the grooves that influenced the bands that I love which in turn enabled me to discover your music. You were one beautiful cat.

RIP.

With a smile on your face and a tear right in your eye

I met Bo on a few occassions and he was VERY sensative to product he did not make money on. I would see fans handing him 8x10 photos to sign and he would always ask where they came from, what did they pay, etc. He once gave a fan him home address so he could mail him the address of the company where he bought the items.

I understand his point a view. What's the point of being a legend while not benefiting.

I love Bow, way beyond me seeing him with Woody. That said that was the altimate night i got to see him at the Hollywood Palace. Which was speciecal in a way Rod Stewert was Supposed to show but never did,so that was a drag. So what the show was fabuluos, regarding what was supposed to happen, one of my best ever! Rest In Peace MR. Rockn Roll!
