heres my two cents worth:

didnt watch the whole thing, but of what I did watch, Germany was constantly in their "own territory" or "own end zone" as we would say in American "football." And I mean both defending their own goal and being unable to offensively get out of their own territory.

As with American football, you cannot much score if you dont get close to your opponent's goal.

I have been in spain for the past 10 days and the atmosphere here has been great.Only team i realy wanted to win without the u.k teams and Ireland playing.Watching on the tv last night and flicking between spanish station and BBC.Build up on tv lasted all day with a open air concert in Madrid i believe and video screen there for the match.Nearly all the crowd had spanish football shirts on and thankfully the best and most consistant team in the tournament won .Viva España !!!
