According to the Bill Graham book, the concept of a 'career spanning setlist' was initially Bill Graham's idea, which Mick liked. I think - maybe with the exception of Going To A Go Go - all the covers they did in 81-82 fits that concept very well.

but the rockabilly slant of numbers like "Twenty Flight Rock" and "Chantilly Lace" was not something they had ever done in their early days. They had never been that "white" in their cover selection (their early pop originals are another matter), until doing "Hound Dog" in '78 a few times, I think.

Thats true-all of their early covers seemed to be more rythm n blues flavored as opposed to rockabilly(maybe with the exception of "Suzie Q"). Maybe it was the popularity of "Stray Cats" style bands in the early 80s that prompted this?? I mean the Stones doing The Big Bopper? Cool but who would have "thunk" it!!

since every bootleg comes with a funny/cool/stupid or meaningless title, I picked this one up from the Daily Mail article, Logie posted on page one.
it stuck on me and it has a double meaning:
hey, it took us nearly six months to get this recording corrected and torrented.
that's some kind of drama, isn't it?

I think that at this point any program that plays mp3s will play flacs. At least on your PC/Mac; I guess iPods don't play flacs. But there's nothing more technologically advanced about flac; if you can handle one, you can handle the other.

I had d/l foosbar to PLAY flac files on my laptop but what I didnt know before(boy did I feel stupid) that Roxio will BURN flac files to cdr anyway even though Windows Media wouldnt play it!!

what I dislike still about Roxio is that on Live stuff it still has a "flutter" between tracks although not as bad as Windows Media. I d/l db poweramp cause it said "gapless burning" but havent been able to figure it out yet!

I got the chance to hear a certain tape today - Glasgow 1966!

Incomplete recordings of 4 songs, slightly distorted sound, wobbly pitch(might be his old revox) with lots of noise from the audience much like the 67 live bootlegs. You can hear the music good enough to enjoy it though.

The tape also contains 2 incomplete songs from the Yardbirds set, thus it's the only live recording of page and beck in the yardbirds that I am aware of!

Bad news!

He might let me copy it, but he wasn't at all keen on that!

I think he's gay so perhaps a blow job will change his mind!?

I dont even know how this came up but a few years ago at a bar a guy asked all of
