She wasn't really hot but it's typical Stones humor.
Great lyrics:
And she was hot - in the melted snow She was hot - in the molten glow She was hot - she got it in the blood She was hot - like the dam that bursts She was black - she was strong and true She was black - and her eyes were blue She was lost - and she took a chance At just a brief romance Down the avenue into the lost bayou Into the tall bamboo, back to the human zoo I wish you all the best, I hope we meet again On a cold Chicago night

A friend of mine who is critical about the Stones regards this song as probably the best in Shine A Light and the video as their best (including the clothing of our guys!).
I don't know who from The Stones got the idea to ressurect this song, which I had as others had forgotten or don't play that often. But live, how great it sounds. The performance in Paris was just Stones music as I enjoy it. The Rhythm section in SAL is pure magic. And Keith delivers his Berry chorusses with inspiration. This "chemical combination" transpires all thru this song when plaid live. The duet between Mick and ( Lisa, Fowler ) is sincere with pleasure of singing along.
Always liked this song. My fave from the album. There is a nice long version on a boot ( from a radio broadcast). Don't know where you can find the original!?
I find it a pity that the intro is so low in the SAL version! Why not like the original studio version? (like in the video . .)
