A little hard to name a band where a member is dead, ie CCR Zep. For me it's Be Bop Deluxe, Rockpile or Costello with all The Attractions.

Scotty

Scotty, Be Bop Deluxe bassist Charlie Tumahai died in 1995. Bill Nelson is still a supreme guitarist. Check out his site at www.billnelson.com and his prolific amount of recent cds. Saw BBD twice back then...great band!

I'd like to see:

CCR
PINK FLOYD
THE BOX TOPS (FROM THE 70'S)
THE LEFT BANKE (ALSO FROM THE 70'S)
SHOCKING BLUE

Why don't we add GARY PUCKETT & THE UNION GAP to this list?

That would be a great double bill. Never saw Rockpile ( i doubt that Basher Lowe would fancy it either) but did see The fab 'Birds at their London debut at the old Marquee (wardour st) great gig.

Baboon -

Of course Gillan should be w/ Deep Purple. Just bring back Blackmore and Lord. Glover, Paice and Gillan are already in the band. Reunion would probably never take place since the others have no desire to work with Blackmore. Steve Morse is a great guitarist, but he's no Blackmore. I could see a one-off reunion 3 song deal if they were to get in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame or the organizers will find some bloody @#$%& like Nickleback to do a salute to the mighty Purple.

Lord is retired and working in his garden.

Ritchie is happy playing "Period" music in pubs to grown men who dress like Robin Hood.

Glad to see Ian Gillan is still singing with Deep Purple. He really is one of Rock & Rolls finest vocalist and overall nice guy. I've seen him several times in hotel pubs after shows talking to fans, inviting them to sit with him, etc. He's a great story teller and really likes chatting and hearing their stories too.

They saved my life, DP Mk II, back in 1984, with the reunion.
All the horrible "musical" experiences one had to suffer thru
in the 80s were kicked away like trolls that cracks into little pieces in sunshine!
My life happiest moment aside from my kids births are
Purple's gig in the summer of 1985 in Stockholm.

Yeah, hope they hear us: time for a DP Mk II reunion!!

I think a Led Zeppelin reunion tour is about 10 times more likely to happen than a DP MkII. Blackmore is a great guitarist, but he's a pure A$$ #@!&

Delaney & Bonnie and Friends.

Just to wake people up to their rightful place in the RnR HoF...instead of non-rockers like Miles Davis and Leonard Cohen.
