I'm curious about all the comments concerning 'rare, limited editions'...grab them while you can etc. from my collecting experience over the past few decades, the really rare items are those not for sale..promo items,dj mixes, radio edits etc...officially released 'limited editions' for sale are generally quite plentiful for at least one year or even 2 years...often record companies will ship only a few to every outlet creating demand...more often than not, these LE's will surface again down the line...I can't think of a LE package I really wanted & couldn't obtain a copy within a year...the BB deluxe package is still in bins to this day..the LL lp box sized item is knee deep on the shelf @ BestBuy....some Vinyl editions can be difficult to find after awhile...but that's because of so few store that even sell them & another pressing is rarely cost worthy...if anyone cares to start a thread on OFFICIAL LIMITED EDTIONS that are really rare & expensive to buy,I would be very interested..no promos,no radio 'only'items etc...the list doesn't have to be limited to the RS of course...Prince officially released his bootlegged "Black" lp on cd 10 years ago or so...a LE it was...never seen it since.....peter

It should be the same track list as the standard 2 CD version with Undercover of the Night added on as a bonus track.

Wait, there was an lp box-sized version of LIVE LICKS? Was this a Best Buy exclusive? I totally missed this.

Theif, thx for your answer.
Is it 100% sure that there is going to be an extra track and that that track is going to be Under Cover?

I'm not 100% sure but that's the word on the streets.

and does this hit the streets the same time as the other versions too?

Yes.I ordered it from CD Japan who originally had it slotted for late March. They e-mailed me an update stating that it was pushed back to early April, the 2nd,if I remember correctly.

We're getting 22 of the 24 songs performed over the two days, so that's a winner for Stones fans. My only remaining wish for the audio is that on Connection they cut out the voice overs that ruin the song in the film. Based on what they did on Stripped, the precedent is not looking good for my wish.

A full version of I'm Free will be a treat, and a second soundboard release of Little T&A will be as well.

Now if they were astute enough to include a few "opposite-show" versions on the single vs. the double CD we'd really have a treasure, but there is no way that will be the case.

The fact that they are releasing nearly all the songs performed, whether touched up in the studio or not, seems to indicate the Stones were very pleased with their performances.

Since I much prefer the Stones live releases to their studion releases I'm a very happy guy with all the releases in recent years.

... i'm struggling to remember what voiceovers on the Stripped CD you mean,
because if Connection isn't complete on the CD i will have to hurt someone.

Interesting. Hopefully they don't butcher it with edits and lame copy protections รก la Live Licks...

Copy protection is over since the SonyBMG rootkit debacle came to the public eye with the release of Neil Diamond's latest CD a few years ago. Universal had dropped it even back then, because it was hurting sales. Even EMI has dropped it last year or the year before. If you still want copy-protected material, look for it on iTunes. They still very much favour to keep your files attached to the players of their own make of Apple.

I'm guessing the reason there is to be a single record is because somewhere someone isn't going to want to spend the extra money for the double and when they get it they'll realise maybe they made the right choice - based on the website samplers I've heard.

I'm hoping for a simple stereo mix.

Minimal or no overdubs.

Thank the Stones for not including Undercover Of The Night and Honky Tonk Women - one tune that just should not ever be included on a live album and the other than's been on too many already.

And finally some more songs that have never been released live before.

(As asked above by ComeOn) Any info on the USB stick version? At twice the price of the CD it must have some extra goodies (video, etc.)

Cool! Just to be sure I had ordered it too.
It's going to be a party when that is delivered.
It's the SHM-CD you are talking about, right?

The sticker on the 2-cd set says nearly 2 hours of live Stones classics. It is in actually only 1 hour, 41 minutes and 18 seconds. Now disc 1 is almost 19 minutes longer than disc 2, so why didn't the 2 missing songs get put on it as it should have had no problem with time constraints.
