Not actually met anyone; seen quite a few here in Nashville, including waiting in check out line behind Johnny Cash at a "Hickory Farms" store several years ago.

Back in 1993 a college friend who ended up with a job in the Clinton administration got me to meet President Clinton.

I saw my friend at a party three days earlier and he mentioned that the President was coming to town and it had not been announced yet for security reasons, but would be formally announced later that day.

His job was to do advance work and one of the responisibilities was to help arrange a fleet of passenger vans for the traveling Press to be in the Presidential Motorcade.

Anyway, he got me and a friend to volunteer and drive vans. It's a non-paid job but get to meet the President at the end of the day and have an individual official photo taken with him by the White House Photographer and I had one taken with my small camera before he boarded Air Force One.

Did the job, got the picture...chatted for about 15 seconds.

Yes, we had to go through a security clearance in advance...background checks, etc.

I remember two days before the event I told my boss at the time I needed a day off. He said "what...are you meeting the President?" in a joking fashion.

Partied with Jackson Browne...very nice, gracious guy...way back in '74. Also met Stephen Stills. He was an @#$%& in the first degree. Had a drink and a chat with Judy Collins..she was very nice. And I met Charlton Heston in a drugstore when I was a kid. He bought me and my buddies a phosphate at the counter.

IN the Spring of 2003 I saw a band called The Datsuns in a small club. A friend of mine was promoting the show, so afterwards I hung out in the hallway near the dressing room. A strange thing happened a few minutes later. A man came walking down the hallway, looked very very familiar and very much like Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones. I thought to myself "why would JPJ be here"?

Well, it was JPJ. He flew in for the day to see the band live and to meet with them. He ended up producing their next CD. He was in the USA, 3 days later they had the "How The West Was Won" press party in NYC.

Before he went in to meet the band me, the promoter and house sound guy chatted for about 5 minutes with him. Posed for some photos and was in a great mood.

He did not mind chatting with me, because I was not loading him with Led Zep questions. I am a fan of his 2 solo CD's and asked him about a recording technique he used a couple years earlier. He lit up and was happy to talk about the song in question.

I usually have a drumhead on me when I go to shows where I may have access. I got this signed for my gameroom, I asked him to write what he wrote on it in case I meet Page & Plant and get them to sign it. Unfortunatly, a friend met Plant a year later and showed the drumhead to him and he would not sign it. He said he does not sign instruments. Page is the same way...

"Made it on the big screen"! Sounds like a rated "X" concert!

that's her (NYPD blue) - in both encounters, i received a "glare".

with john, he was talking to a girl who i had been talking to a minute before. i know she didn't know him personally but told me they were from the same town. i was surprised they struck up such a bond so i (being drunk) went up to join them. i said something dumb and they both glared at me - i walked away in shame. then a few minutes later, the girl rejoined me to tell me all about it! this was 1994 at a bar in washington DC. several people had tried to approach him during the night and were shot down.

charlotte was friends with a "friend" of mine in high school. this mutual friend decided to go after my long-term boyfriend. he told me to fight for him. i refused out of pride and he went with her. then i tried to get him back, which i did successfully. during this process, charlotte (whom i never actually met) knew who i was and glared at me as i walked past her in the hallway. i got the guy back then dumped him a year later. he still apologizes to this day for that fiasco. on a side note, charlotte cleaned up his dog's vomit.

charlotte went to hollywood after high school because her parents have connections there.

now she's an animal activist (and therefore a comrade) and was a "star" guest at a conference a few years ago. i didn't talk to her.

I once found myself face to face (quite literally) with Jesse Jackson.

I was so dumbfounded by the fact that his security
was so lax, that I forgot to ask him how he really
felt about "Some Girls."

Would like to see Kathy Griffin interview Keith and watch him startle her into awe. She is SO amusing.

I once met Van Morrison who was rather shy (but he was fond of a young lady who also was there). So I talked to his musicians and to the sound engineer who were really great.

Later on i met Mick Taylor who was also rather shy but very friedly. This is the reason why I really appreciate him - apart from his contribution to the Stones and his best album BRUSSELS AFFAIR - and why I am very sorry for him that he has no longer the chance to do the records he'd be capable of.
