I'll throw out this message to any man reading this who is over 50. Get a psa test from your doctor. Prostate cancer is very curable in early stages, but deadly if it spreads. Not sure what stage Stills was at, but he sounds lucky. I have a family history, so I started getting tested 40, and was diagnosed in 2006 at age 43. Cancer free for 18 months. GET A PSA AT 50 or 40 IF YOU HAVE FAMILY HISTORY
Best wishes to Stephen Stills...my friend's husband was diagnosed a couple of years ago. She is in the medical field and did all kinds of research. They decided to have her husband move to Sarasota FL for the treatment because the doctors there have so much experience and such a high cure rate (I suppose because of all the seniors). Her husband is fine now. I would imagine Mr. Stills will get the best treatment possible and hope he will be fine also.
Good advice FBPM. I've been checked a couple of times since turning 40. A urine sample, a finger wave, and you're outta there. Ain't no big thing, the test that is.
