Big shopping day for all of us Rock and Roll kids - Some great new releases OUT TODAY (Tuesday 11/20/07) in the USA:
1. Cleaned Up, Remixed, and Finally Complete Led Zeppelin's Concert Film of their 1973 MSG New York Show - THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME on 2 DVD's. Not sure about the extra's yet but the originally left off songs from the film - CELEBRATION DAY/OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY/MISTY MOUNTAIN HOP/THE OCEAN/THANK YOU (possibly) - have all been brought back. Hopefully it will have the entire show of just the songs being played live - no dream bits and all that other fluff....
2. U2 - 3 Disc JOSHUA TREE release. 2 CD's - first one same as the orginal album, second one full of rarities and B-sides, third disc - DVD of the U2 1987 PARIS SHOW - on top of that you get alot more stuff (like a photo booklet) - sounds good...can't go wrong with this one if you're a U2 fan....
3. NIRVANA unplugged on DVD - FINALLY !!! Any NIRVANA fan knows how great this show was, now it's ours to own. DVD contains some songs left off the original broadcast plus rehearsals and some other goodies.....
4. CLAPTON and Friends - CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL 2007. Filmed in HD, this 2 Disc DVD set features over 4 hours of music. Highlight has to be Clapton and Winwood together again (BLIND FAITH) doing PRESENCE OF THE LORD/CAN'T FIND MY WAY HOME/HAD TO CRY TODAY/DEAR MR. FANTASY/CROSSROADS - Wow, there's half the BLIND FAITH album in the first 3 songs !!. Other guests include ROBBIE ROBERTSON, SHERYL CROW, JEFF BECK, B.B. KING, BUDDY GUY, LOS LOBOS, WILLIE NELSON, ROBERT CRAY, JIMMIE VAUGHAN, ALBERT LEE, VINCE GILL, JOHN MAYER, and others. Some well known Clapton songs include - TELL THE TRUTH/TULSA TIME/Harrison's ISN'T IT A PITY/ and more
So who's planning to get what? Anybody already have any of these above MENTIONED DVD's ??? If so , WRITE A REVIEW and let us know what you think !!!
