It's nice to see that even these multi million dollar rock icons have once been just spotty little boys trying to get laid.

I'm really digging all these old pics ...
The first time I saw the Stones was July 1966 in Detroit.
Does anyone have any pics from that concert or close to that date?

Thanks so much!!!

We finally found our keyboard player so we are getting our material down now.
Hopefully it won't be too much longer.
If you'll send me your email I'll start a list of folks to tell, OK?

If you live in or near New Mexico, this is an exhibition I recomend you go to. The first photosession with the Rolling Stones. Young, with little spots and acne... Very sweet!

The Photographic Archives of Philip Townsend Unveiled after 40 years

EVENT DETAILS: Artists Reception open to the Public
- 343 E. Palace Avenue. Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501
- Friday December 7, 2007
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Beggars Banquet
- Parking available across the street at La Posada Resort & Spa.

SANTA FE, N.M., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Gallery LouLou's presence in
Santa Fe as the musicians' gallery is presenting the first Southwest
Exhibition of British Photographer Philip Townsend. Philip captured the
panorama of London's west end in the 60s working as a freelance
photographer for Tatler, and Daily Express. His photographs were published
in magazines and newspapers around the world, spearheading the birth of the
mods. As the cultural movements of the 60s swung through Britain, the
royalty subverted to the new order of the rebels. Photographer Philip
Townsend was there to record the British icons of music, art and fashion.
The good, the bad, and the beautiful passed in front of Philip's camera:
Twiggy, the ingenue who broke the mold on the fashion figure, Nico, the
princess of the rebel rockers, and Warhol's chic mascot, The Beatles when
they met the Maharishi, and the street fighting Rolling Stones, in their
first photo session. Philip was introduced to the group by legendary
manager Andrew Loog Oldham, and the friendship continues today. Philip will
be attending the opening reception and is available for phone or in person
interviews at the gallery.
The exhibition is on display through January, 2008.
Gallery LouLou opened July 20, 2007 with the 2nd US International Jimi
Hendrix photography exhibition featuring 19 photographers worldwide.
Gallery LouLou has chosen the Santa Fe Rape Crisis Center as a beneficiary
of each exhibition. One photograph will be auctioned and the proceeds
donated to the Center. During the first week of the exhibition the gallery
will feature vintage Stones performances in the Projection Studio. Call the
gallery for specific dates and times.
