SOL did get played.
Okay, Rain Fall Down was my favorite of ABB.

Never mind 'future', I'm more intrigued by the misuse of the words 'great' and 'classic'

I'm all for them continuing to showcase newer songs, but there are about 10 songs on ABB I think I'd rather hear than this one. Stones-by-numbers.

There were also some ABB songs which were far better when they DID play them live. Rain Fall Down (the notorious 'Salt Lake City Incident' aside) and Back Of My Hand, for starters.

The only problem with RJ (or any other new song) was that it was too early in the set list. It had to be in the warhorses section (as was SMU in the tattoo you tour).

That said it has a great groove. Love how Darryl keeps the motor running in the live version (while I don't like too much his work on the studio take). Also I loved the additional keith solo in the final leg of the tour.

Very powerful number!

They ought to play Dangerous Beauty, it is a shame that they never played it. I am not optimistic though that they will play newer songs in the future, even crowdpleasers like Saint of me and OOC vanished from the setlists!

I love Rough Justice. First time I heard, I knew they were back. Great song.

Agreed that they should have saved a new song for later in the set list. In regards to Rough Justice holding a spot in any future set lists, I really hope the Stones don't keep this formula and feel forced to play one so so newer song or I should say the same one at every single show. You Got Me Rocking was way overplayed, hard to understand why this song has been on every tour since its release when they don't do many other newer songs. And it makes them look like they are throwing it in the set to justify playing a huge parade of old hits and say "here is one newer hit." The Stones are too set on these formulas today, and have way too many good songs to stick to this sort of thing. I still can't beleive how many songs from ABB were never played that would seem to have worked great live, such a waste. They never even tried their last ABB single on stage.

Exactement - as one memorable review in a Danish paper would have it, the intro to "RJ" sounded like "a slumbering beast slowly waking up" ...which is pretty apt I suppose ;-)

Great song - instant classic!

never have 'great' and 'classic' been used so inappropriately.

Each to his own, I suppose ;-)

I like Rough Justice, but it will probably go the way of Hangfire.....

LISTEN TO THIS SONG! I Love the Keith riff and then Ronnie coming in with the slide (after the second verse I believe)
I remember the first time I heard this song. I heard the drum roll from the other room and KNEW right away it was a new Stones song. They didn't announce it but I just knew it was Charlie. I guess this is from years of listening to this wonderful band.

Rough Justice was played for many many times on b-stage, exactly between Miss You and Start Me Up...so it was in the warhorse-section!

Hell, look at what happened to 'Don't Stop'. A fine stomper but instantly disposable!

"I'll be in my basement room with a needle and a spoon."

My ABB favourites are She Saw Me Coming and Let Me Down Slow, but as far as I know, they chose not to play them. Rough Justice would have been my 3rd pick, so I'd be happy to hear if they kept it in the setlist.
