Sources close to Amy Winehouse have revealed to Holy Moly that Amy Winehouse has been arrested whilst on tour in Bergen, Norway...



EDIT: As reported in a Holy Moly worldwide exclusive last night, Amy Winehouse has been arrested while on tour in Bergen, Norway and held by police overnight on suspicion of possessing drugs.

The 24-year-old was taken by police at the upmarket Radisson hotel where she was staying ahead of a planned gig tonight (Friday) at the Peer Gynt venue in the city.

Winehouse was apparently released with husband Blake Fielder-Civil at 7am this morning after a night in separate cells and both were fined £350 for possession of marijuana.

Police were alerted when hotel staff noticed the smell of the drug coming from the star's room.

A police spokeswoman said: "She is no longer at the station. We released her after questioning her yesterday night.

"We found a small quantity of marijuana in her room. A small team of local officers were involved. Both individuals were very co-operative."

Stay tuned - maybe she'll shave her head, hit a car with an umbrella and show us her fanny before the day is out.

Yep, that's right. I had actually posted this "breaking news" before having properly read the article itself. Feels the same as with Pete Doherty that the "journalists" are after them to make every little nothing into a big headline.

It is a true story. It is all over the tabloids in Norway today. She was completely wasted. If you posess illegal drugs in Norway that is a crime. Not as big crime as in Singapore but still it is a crime. She was smoking the stuff in the hotel room and the smell was all over in the corridor, so it was reported by the hotel management, which means it was quite unusual. They confiscated 7,2 gram marihuana in the room and gave here a fine. When asking for a taxi back to the room the police told her it was just 250 m over there and told her she could walk it. They say she will be on stage tonight.

If it is in the official police protocol it is true.
And to be honest, I don't care.
But I do hope she will be around for her 30th birthday.

surprised to hear of a pot bust in Norway for some reason; even in the states 11 or so states have had voted state referendums to allow personal use quantities, even growing, for patients who qualify medically.

i don't know much about her; i've heard a song or two and thought her very groovy tho...i'm sure she has her serious problems and that her family is concerned etc...so i'm not diminishing any personal troubles she might be having but jeeesh, a pot bust seems like targetting a cripple at this point; if she's getting a buzz thru cannabis treatment and not drinking or hard drugging herself, i would think they wouldn't be all over like the drug police and mind control...do they think they're doin' her a favor? or is some detective just making a high profile easy bust to get himslef all puffed up in their department...leave her alone i'd say. especially pot. especially in scandinavia where the drug laws are not supposed to be (legend in america has it) as draconian as the federal govt. in the states...

Suckers....a little joint!!...i dont have tha say set her free because she is...have a nice show and cheers from the farm!

Beelyboy, pot sure is illegal - but police will, in many cases, look another way, when they see it....or if they have a hunch. However...if it takes place in public areas....or a hotel, they have to clamp their foot down.
If one get caught - one will get a ticket.

Yeah, she is a major talent - but she got really piss reviews for her recent show in Denmark - they more or less said she was not "totally there".

Still - she should not get busted because of a joint. Though, the climate in Scandinavia has grown somewhat colder towards the use of weed and pot and whatnot.

If they keep on hounding her like that - both the press and the police - she surely will end up sleeping the big sleep - remember Brian Jones? Yes, I know he drowned, but when the pressure was highest he was diagnosed as possibly suicidal, probably in no small way also thanks to our friends in uniform ;-)

The problem is that mr Law can't make exceptions. If it was up to me - Willie Nelson and Amy Winehouse should be allowed to relax with a minor illegal thing like pot - there are far worse things than that. But how can one say 'yes go ahead' to a famous artist, and 'no' to Joe Bloggs on the streets ?
However....tourists get away with driving too fast here, as they are not norwegian citizens, - so why not for smoking pot as well...?
Hmmm, it's difficult; but according to the law - one should lock each and everyone up - if they've done a crime.

Nah, I see your point but they could also choose not to bust her - but I guess somebody must have tipped off the cops, sp they had to do something. I do believe - in Denmark at least - that you need somebody to file a complaint or whatever before the police can intervene. Unless - of course - she was stood in front of them puffing happily away ;-)

Everybody now - legalize it, legalize it!! And I'm now even a smoker of anything meself ;-)

Yes that's exactly what happened. The police doesn't go around hunting for pot-smokers, but the hotel-staff called the cops, and complained about the smell.

But this gives me another opportunity to rant and rave!! Why the f*ck do they let a notorious dope fiend and smoker of da weed stay in their hotel only to to call on the cops?

This reminds me too much of Disney who enrolled Keith Richards in the "Pirates" - then would not use him in the promotion for the film because he was - Keith Richards! *lol*

I think the almost simultaneous claim that "I smoked my dad with cocaine" may have been a factor in that decision!
