Brian Nankervis's three children review The Rolling Stones

RocKwiz host Brian Nankervis took his three children, Henry Joe, Lola and Claudia to see The Rolling Stones at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday night in the hope of sealing their affections for his favourite band. Now exercise their right of reply ...

Lola (16)

I would say I was forced into listening to the Rolling Stones as I was growing up. However, I was not forced into loving them. This came quite easily.

As the day of their concert in Melbourne arrived, so did great excitement. Jumping Jack Flash kickstarted an incredible show. I was blown away by the amount of energy Mick Jagger has and could see why all the girls fell in love with him at first sight. The man did not stop dancing and could seriously move!

"Ronnie and Keith smoked cigarette after cigarette, making it a real rock and roll concert. After all these years they still have it. Dad may not have had the moves like Jagger, but that didn't stop him dancing in his seat like there was no tomorrow, while Mick strutted and skipped around the famous tongue-shaped stage.

"I Can't Get No (Satisfaction) was a great ending to an unforgettable show and an experience I was lucky to have.

Henry Joe (12)

On Wednesday night me, dad, Lola and Claude went to see The Rolling Stones. It was electric. I loved every minute of it.

They didn't play Get Off My Cloud but that was my only disappointment. My favorite part was when they performed Brown Sugar. It was awesome.

Claudia (20)

Catching the train from Balaclava station to Richmond Station, we could see and hear people becoming more and more excited for The Rolling Stones concert at Rod Laver Arena.

While we were sitting in our seats waiting for them to come on stage, people around us started asking dad about jumping into the Scotch College pool and whether we would enjoy the show. And we did!

It was an amazing performance, highlights for me being Miss You, Gimme Shelter, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Ronnie Wood's red sneakers, Mick Jagger's dancing and a bizarre ending when Charlie Watts threw his drum sticks into the audience and one hit a security guard on the head.

Thank you dad, it was an amazing night!
