"Joe Bussard has died. A record collector, music historian, musician, and radio DJ, Bussard amassed one of the most important collections of 78s in existence.
A compilation CD drawn from his extensive archive, Down in the Basement: Joe Bussard’s Treasure Trove of Vintage 78s, was released on Old Hat Records in 2002, and he was the subject of a 2003 documentary entitled Desperate Man Blues."
