Nice article Rockeee. I was lucky enough to visit the Ell Pie Island museum last year and it was a delight. Except for running into Gazza there and having to suffer his mockery of Canucks. grinning smiley

(No real apology for including the stuff about Eel Pie Island, the more it is seen the better).

By strange co-incidence, years ago when we lived in Brighton in the UK, the Department Secretary in my partner's then place of work had been a family friend of Arthur Chisnall. At that time his family were trying to get publishers interested in accounts of the place - at that time with no luck at all. I'm glad how times have changed.

The same person (Department Secretary) had by even stranger co-incidence, years before had a very close friend in London with whom she had lost touch not long after she (the friend) had got a (then) temporary job in the London office of a busy and upcoming Rock Band. Her name was Sherry Daley.

It was very satisfying to put them in touch with each other.

I didn't know the Shirelles did Putty in Your Hand. I used to love that song by The Yardbirds.
